2007 Saab 9-7x 5.3I Description

Up for auction is my 2007 Saab 9-7X 5.3i with the Vortec V8. This is my 13th Saab automobile and likely my last as they're getting harder and harder to find. I had many a Trolhattan variant of the Saab 900, 900T, 9-3, and eventually the GM owned 9-3's and 9-5's. I also happen to own a GMC Sierra with the same engine, sans the active fuel management. I sold my last 9-3 Viggen to purchase a SUV an ended up with a Mercury Mountaineer that just lacked the fit and finish of the Saab's. I ended up trading the Mercury in on this Saab after looking at quite a few of the 9-7X's. This model boasts every feature available except for DVD and Navigation. It has OnStar, an in dash CD changer with SiriusXM, HID projector headlights, the active fuel management, and on and on. I service my own vehicles as my father was actually an airframe engineer for Scania (Saab's parent company) and he was insistent on me learning to maintain my own vehicles. Frankly, I never found a garage that had the level of attention to detail that I was looking for anyways. I recently completed a complete brake service including new heavy duty front rotors, pads, and rear calipers as the old ones were sticking a bit. The only issue I ever had with the vehicle was the air assisted self leveling suspension on the rear of the vehicle began to malfunction as the potentiometers on each side would stick and give a false reading. I have the towing package installed and as a result did some research into the self leveling suspension and found that owners complained of failures while hauling trailers, as such I opted to replace the rear suspension with a MOOG conversion kit that completely deletes the air suspension and converts it to a standard coil spring over shock rear axle. The end result is a perfectly level suspension all the time and no compressor to worry about. I still have all of the components that will come with the vehicle and take approximately an hour or so to install. I always run Mobil 1 synthetic oil and FRAM filters as well as FRAM air and fuel filters, all of which were recently replaced. The tires are Cooper Discoverer's with approximately half of the tread life remaining. The only damage to the vehicle are a few light scratches and a light door ding in each of the rear doors, which are barely noticeable. I've owned the car since around 30K miles or so and can speak to how well it performs with the small block engine. I describe it to people as a Trailblazer SS lite as it has the powerful GM smallblock, but a lower suspension than the Trailblazer with all of the creature comforts you'd expect in a Saab like heated seats, front and rear, rear audio controls, rear AC controls, Dual zone front AC and a Bose stereo system. If you have any questions or want some super high resolution pics, just drop me a line. The eBay ad creator didn't like the pics I took with my Nikon so I had to resize them. Thanks for looking. IT'S A NO RESERVE AUCTION so bid away!!!
