2002 Saab 9-3 SE Description

Leased new in 2002, purchased at end of lease and well maintained throughout many years of great driving in Southeast Texas (no salt). One of the funnest SAABs I have owned (13 in all), with exhilarating acceleration in "Sport" mode and smooth cruising with the roof down. The HOT engine delivers 205 HP and high torque out of a frugal 2 liter engine, with 22 MPG in mixed traffic and 27 MPG on highways. The car is fully loaded with power windows, mirrors, seats and roof, central locking, leather seats, heated front seats, CD radio augmented with a 6-disc unit in the trunk, automatic AC, traction control, complemented by the legendary Swedish safety features (airbags, no-whiplash head-rests, ABS, etc). Despite its compact dimensions it is a 4-seater convertible, and the trunk has reasonable capacity. The car has been meticulously maintained at the only real SAAB facility in Houston: Texas Automotive Performance (TAP), run by Swedish management and attentive to detail. Synthetic oil changes every 5,000 miles, never had to top up between services. Various engine seals were renewed in 2014, so no oil dripping on the driveway at all. The car has a state inspection and an oil/filter change dated July 2016. The roof works flawlessly, as does the AC. The vehicle comes with its 2 original key / remotes.
