CSM NO.08SS0100 Rare and Low Production this car is awesome! From 65-67 Carroll Shelby had Ford deliver him mustangs for his modifications. 68-69 Ford moved Shelby production to Michigan assembly line with minimal Shelby involvement. As a result the 65-67 cars are worth more. Today the customer buys the mustang and delivers it the Shelby for the mods. That was true until a couple years ago now Shelby sends customer to Shelby licensed mod shops and dealers. Shelby does very few mods in house anymore. That may change with new Shelby president Gary who is true car guy. What all this may mean for values is that the new 2015-16 GT 350s are Ford mustangs badged by Ford with the Shelby name. Just like a 2008 GT 500. So 2008 super snakes are worth much more then a GT 500. Most Shelby purists consider a car that is hand built at Shelby factory to have most appreciation potential. As opposed to cars where Ford bought the rights to the Shelby name and affixed it to their mustang. In other words the argument is that "real" Shelbys are built at Shelby factory and less real or faux Shelbys are badged by Ford similar to 68-69 Shelby mustangs, 2015-16 GT 350s. This collector Mustang is complete with all orginlal documentation from new. Stored in a climate controlled collection this Supersnake is sure to be one of the lower miels and most higly sought after Shleby's of the modern era. The aftermarket changes to take the GT500 to Super Snake status include a long list of Racing parts, as well as proprietary Shelby bits to build a unique-looking, fully warranted alternative to the 600-bh, albeit with some extra weight, a back seat and a live rear axle. If you're not averse to risk-taking, you can go with an even more powerful non-Ford-specified blower with no warranty that will push the Super Snake's 5.4-liter V-8 to 725-plus bhp. The modifications are completed either at Shelby Automobiles' Las Vegas headquarters or the factory-approved modification center at Tasca Ford in Cranston, Rhode Island, and include a new fiberglass hood with functioning scoop, a revamped front fascia with additional brake cooling ducts, carbon-fiber front splitter and rocker panels, a choice of black-riveted C-pillar window closeouts or body-colored side scoops, matte-black striping and larger brakes with front 6-piston calipers developed in conjunction with Baer. The car also benefits from adjustable shocks, stiffer springs, larger-diameter anti-roll bars and a Borla exhaust. Alcoa 20-in. forged alloy wheels are fitted with Pirelli P Zero tires measuring P275/35ZR-20 in the rear and P255/35ZR-20 up front.
