2001 Subaru Forester Description

Built a few years back by a kid in So Cal. I bought it from a guy here in Utah who used it to map & catalog old roads. This thing has gone just about everywhere my RZR went. Heat & AC being the biggest difference. All the little stuff works. Not any bigger than a 4 seat RZR. And you can drive anywhere, not trailer it. Lots of good stuff....Modern (NOT old GL)Australian spec dual range trans...Full body lift tied to bumpers & rock sliders....Coilovers, STI arms, Primitive Racing skidplates, welded steel tube bumpers & sliders. Suspension is very stiff & some clunks somewhere back there.235 75 15 BFG TA's all around & a new (same size spare) Hotbits struts are rebuild-able & I'd switch to softer springs... Trans makes some noise in neutral. (mentioned in original build, see below) windshield has rock dent up high, could be covered by windshield visor tint, passed safety here, CEL is on, O2 code if I remember correctly, we don't have emmissions testing here, so I never thought much about it...Small oil leak from right head onto exhaust manifold, smokes a bit till it burns off if it's sat a while(it gets into the heat shield)...All has been like this since I bought it 2 years ago & hasn't got worse... Interior is in great shape except panels & carpet from behind rear seats has been removed... A VERY DETAILED BUILD is on offroadsubarus.com... In typical Ebay wisdo, they won't let me show the link, but if you ask me through their messaging, they will kindly allow me to provide you that link! I'm in So Utah 2 hrs N of Las Vegas NV ...??? My phone # is available for the asking
Selling as I have gotten into Mitsubishi Delicas, & I have way too many vehicles!
Reserve price consistent with stock Foresters without $10G of work! Rig is for sale locally & may be removed at at time. If ya want it, better put a bid on it!
Also- Car was/is a California & Utah(desert) car, NO rust, also dash has a cover, but is not cracked or damaged...
In response to ??? about the transmission, as stated, it is NOT a 30 year old GL trans, Subarus sold in other markets come with a hi/lo transmission. Conversion kits are available for $1400 delivered, then you put the internals of yours in, at ??? cost. See ebay #271919977720
