05 Subaru Legacy GT Limited Wagon (Manual transmission)

2005 Subaru Legacy GT Description

Up for auction is a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT Wagon with a 5-speed manual transmission. This is an 11 year old car and I'm the second owner having it in my possession for 9 years. It shows the normal wear that you would expect from a car of it's age. Non-smoker- and non-pet owner. 3/4's of the miles are from highway driving. The car has never been in an accident nor has it ever been on a track. From an exterior standpoint, no major dents and just some bug and tar that can be removed with waxing. There are three scratches from parking lot damage, but aside from that, the exterior looks good. From an interior standpoint, its showing it's age with some sun cracking in the seats.
Mechanically, the car does need some work. It still runs strong and still pulls strong through the RPM range. Clutch was replaced last year, but the only reason I'm selling it is the car will not pass VA emissions due to intermittent (Check Engine Light) misfires in the 1st and 3rd cylinders. Most notable at idle, but still something that would require repairing depending on buyers location. Unfortunately, I do not know the extent of the repairs needed as it could only need new plugs etc, or it may require more extensive engine work. I have two other cars so I will not be spending the cash to investigate a repair. Outside of that, I would recommend replacing the rear tires. Threads are fine, but one tire has a nail close to the side wall.
In closing, I will say this car was, and is still a blast to drive, especially in the snow. Hate to give it up. Given the age, and the unknown nature of the needed repairs, I suggest potential buyers bid knowing that repairs are needed and the age of the car. I have been driving the car every day and the mileage seen in the picture reflects the mileage when I parked it for the last time today.
