Up for auction, is this 2000 Subaru Legacy Outback with only 143K miles. The timing belt was just done at 105K miles; so this engine should last for many years to come. Unfortunately, it needs a clutch. The clutch just went bad yesterday. You can purchase a clutch kit for as low as $50 or $60, but the owner does want to replace it, and chose to sell it as-is. The vehicle is currently at a mechanic's shop, and the mechanic would be willing to install the clutch if the winner wanted to go that route. If not, the vehicle would have to be towed.
The interior is in good condition for its age, there are a few imperfections, which are shown in the pictures, but nothing major. The exterior is in average condition. There is small dent on the driver’s side fender, as well as,a few other flaws, but again nothing major, and all can be easily remedied or repaired .Still, the paint still looks pretty good.
Overall, a pretty descent vehicle. Repair the clutch and do a little TLC, then you would have a nice vehicle at a great price. In fact, the vehicle was sold locally for $1600, but that's when we realized the clutch was bad. So the vehicle is more than worth repairing--especially at this price.
Thanks and Good Luck!
