2006 Subaru WRX STi Description

Up for sale is my 2006 STi. I've owned it since 2009, bought it CPO from Mastro Subaru in Tampa. Car had 44k miles on it at the time, currently has right at 84k on the chassis, but only roughly 12k on the engine build. I have poured my soul into this car over the years of owning it. A large list of upgrades will be below. The past few years have been rough. Car was stolen from my driveway in 2/2014, recovered the same day with minimal interior damage, however the engine was blown when recovered, which led to the engine build. I put about $12k into it at that time, which included the full build, head work, custom oil catch can, oil cooler, fuel lines and setup, etc. Everything was done by Rev Works in Winter Springs, FL. Less than 3 months after getting it back and broken in, a fuel fitting failed under the hood and the engine bay caught on fire. Fire was put out, everything under the hood was fried though. Close the hood car looked perfectly fine. Another $10k in insurance money went into to fix it, as well as roughly $8k more for things not covered by the insurance (car is modified, so they only covered factory parts/repair). Fuel line setup was changed completely to avoid that ever happening again. Rev Works did all of this work also. Literally every harness, plastic piece, sensor was replaced, engine as torn back down and gone over again, re-honed, new rings and bearings, and re-assembled once again. It took us months to put it back together and get it running properly again, and in that time I had to purchase a newer truck, and have also stopped driving the car. Truck payment means if it breaks now, I can't fix it. I've never considered the car a garage queen, so if I can't drive it and enjoy it, it's time for the car to move on to someone who will. At the end of the list below is a "Bad/Ugly" section, anything wrong with the car is listed there. Mechanically the car is 100%. Last tune after all the work and putting it back together again, she put down right at 430awhp/440awtq. Engine is capable of putting out much more than that, just need a larger turbo and new tune and off you go. I wanted to stay around mid-400's since it's a daily driven car and I didn't want to deal with lots of turbo lag.

The Bag/Ugly:

Front right speaker has issues. Works rarely, usually get a buzzing sound out of it, then a “failure” note on my stereo.

Body is straight, but the front bumper is jacked from being towed 3-4 times. Hood has a line in it that is from the prior owner having a 3M clear bra on it. There is no noticeably felt line in it, but it is very visible. I had it removed when it cracked and split. Rear wing is fading all over. I have a quote from Andy’s AutoSport in Longwood who does all of Mastro Subaru’s body work, as well as working for most of the high-end places in town repainting exotic cars to fix all of it – which includes replacing the front bumper with a new factory one, painting it, the hood, scoop, and blending the fenders to match, as well as removing the entire rear wing and repainting it as well. Price is just under $1900 in work. Quoted a 1 week turnaround time. Will give the quote to new owner if they want to go with that shop.

Car is paid off and the title is in my possession. No low ballers, I do not have to sell it, so low-ball offers will simply be ignored.
