First off, let me start by stating that I believe in full-disclosure and open and honest communication. You are not getting a flawless Model S, but you are getting one hell of a deal!
I purchased her in non-running condition from an Insurance Auction and restored her to her former glory. She was in a minor accident (no airbags deployed) with her first owner with only minor cosmetic damage but the insurance company decided to total her anyway. (They seem to be nervous about repairing electric cars.) I'm an accomplished Electrical Engineer, and a perfectionist, so with the help of a good friend who runs a premier body shop we restored this Model S to it's original condition. I've been a long time Electric Vehicle fan and activist, have even built my own EVs. My day job is coming up with ways to help others enjoy their electric vehicles! (Google "Electric True Believers" to see the article the New York Times did on me 5 years ago.) This is the 5th Tesla I've saved from the crusher. Please check my rating and feedback, I've sold 3 of the other cars right here on eBay (I still have 2). You can find my contributions all over the Tesla Motors Club forum. The car is in great shape and only has a few minor scratches with the worst on the rear bumper from someone's license plate. Drives smooth and quiet, as you'd expect from a Model S. Battery pack is in excellent shape with reported 226 amp-hour capacity (see picture of diagnostic screen). *I am so confident in the condition of this car that I will offer the buyer a powertrain warranty for 3 months (90 days) from date of purchase. If anything prevents the car from driving, I will repair it quickly and at my cost, provided you drop off and pick-up the car at my Berkeley location. I will also be happy to assist in the future should you ever need anything for the car. (I know these cars inside and out and can diagnose them just like Tesla technicians can.) How many people selling you a used car will do this for you?!?
Because this car is salvage-titled, you are getting an awesome deal! On average a car with these options and in this condition would easily go for $20,000 - $25,000 more. A restored salvage titled car is the easiest way for us Tesla fans to get into the best car made without breaking the bank!
Supercharging, Tinted Windows, 3G Internet access with built-in browser, WiFi, Bluetooth, Navigation with Google Maps, Voice Activation, Streaming Radio, Homelink, Remote Access, Keyless Entry, and running latest 8.0 software (2.46.16). Every feature and system on this car is working perfectly.
The Tesla Model S is the safest car in production, and also enjoys the lowest operating costs and highest resale value of any car in it's class.
