MOST AMAZING CAR EVER!!!

I've owned some really cool cars in my life.. Lotus, Maserati, Porsche, several classic Corvettes, AMG Mercedes, on and on... There isn't a car in the list that even comes remotely close to my Tesla experience. Why am I getting rid of it? Very simple... just bought a new Model S. I doubt I will ever drive a gasoline vehicle as my primary car again, and I while it seems a little crazy, it's hard to imagine not having that electric car as anything less than a Tesla.

Why is the Tesla so great? Beyond what you've heard, it is an absolute game changer. I'll assume you know the basics... no gasoline, no oil changes, ridiculous quick, 89 MPG equivalent, etc, etc.

Here are a few of the other things that you don't typically hear:

- This is an AMAZING family road car. We have taken this on long trips with an adult family of 5. I have 3 teenage boys, and they fit comfortably in the back seat. Along with this, we have managed to get in (4) sets of golf clubs and luggage for that same family for a week long trip! The two trunks (front & rear) make this a possibility.

- It's a little bit like owing an iPhone. About every 4-6 months, Tesla pushes updates to the vehicle (typically overnight.) We have gotten several upgrades since owning the car FREE and delivered wirelessly. The user interface will just be updated a little bit like Christmas morning once in a while. You'll just get a more useable interface with new features. It's really amazing.

- Internet access & radio- FREE. Typical Tesla, they initially quoted that there "may" be a charge for this in the future, but it has always been free. Pretty crazy to have custom internet radio stations (free, no commericals) instead of paying for Sirius. We don't use the internet browser much, but it does come in handy.

- FREE FUEL? - Yes, this car is Supercharger enabled. Knock on wood... I have NEVER waited for a supercharger. Every time I go to one, which honestly isn't all that often, they have adeed more bays since my previous visit. The superchargers keep popping up in new places, and are always convenietly located next to food & shopping. 10 minutes of charging will get you 100+ miles, 20 minutes close to 200. We typically will grab something to eat or use the restroom and continue on... no different than filling up a car except for one thing... the expense! Absolutely free charging guaranteed with this car FOREVER!

- This car does have the dual chargers which make charging at home MUCH quicker if you have a 40+amp circuit. My new Tesla only has the single charger, and I do miss that part. With the dual chargers, this Tesla typically charges at home for my daily driving (about 100 miles back & forth to work) in about 90 minutes. I'm really not quite sure how long it takes, because it is programmed to charge @ 1:15 am when electricity rates are at their lowest.

- Service to your door? Yup, I have NEVER had to take this car in for service. Tesla has either picked it up and brought a loaner for me (at my convenience, not the dealership's) or they have sent a ranger out to fix the issue @ my home or work. Once, they actually fixed an issue REMOTELY by logging into the car while it sat in front of my office. CRAZY! My last issue was a month ago +/-... there is actually a traditional 12v car battery in this spaceship, believe it or not. It needed to be replaced, so I called Tesla expecting for it to be ridiculously expensive. NOPE! A factory battery, installed in my home by the Tesla ranger was $150. Try that with Mercedes! I think they charge that much to clean the floor mats. Another Tesla nicety... Service and parts were never designed to be a "profit center" for them... they are reasonably priced!

So, I could go on for hours about the Tesla experience... as I am sure almost all owners can. I simply have no complaints, only praise and wonder at how they have done what they have done. Let's talk about THIS TESLA.

We are the original owners. I ordered it, and I flew into the bay area to pick it up for my wife, and took the factory tour while I was there. Every mile on the vehicle has been driven by my wife, myself or by an amazed friend here or there while we sat in the passenger seat. The exterior is nearly flawless. I had it in to the Tesla station in Monterey when I was looking at new ones, and they did not find anything wrong with it at all. There are, however, a couple issues that you would have to know to look for, and I have pictures in the gallery to show them. There is a small scratch (less then 1/2") in the very bottom of the rear bumper, where my wife backed into my plastic hose reel @ 3mph... Next to nothing. There are also a couple of typical marks on the rims. Other than that, PERFECT. Interior is excellent, but there are a couple small, very faint, smudges in the headliner (see pic) that I haven't tried cleaning out as yet... they are from the handlebars on my Mtn Bike... I didn't mention that... you can get in a full size Mountain Bike with both wheels attached with the seat down. I've never been able to do that with any other passenger vehicle. I am going to find the right cleaner this weekend and clean them up. I will post new pics, if I can.

No known issues with the mechanicals of the car. The drivetrain (batteries, motors, mechanicals) are still under warranty until 10/2010... unlimited mileage!

I did look at the Model X before purchasing my newest S, and I did not care for it as much. Believe it or not, unless you need to carry 7 people without luggage, the S is a better car. The X has NO rear trunk space with the rear seat up, and not nearly as much as the S with it down. This particular S, with the larger front trunk, blows the X away for storage space. I also didn't care for the way the X handled, the lessened range, and the extra weight.

I did pull out the stops with my new S, it has the Ludicrous upgrade (which is pretty fitting of the moniker) autopilot, etc. If I'm being honest with myself, it really seems like I made a mistake, as the driving experience is nearly idential, but I had to put in all that extra cash over my nearly new looking 2013. As for the speed differennce, it is never really used, and this S is already ridiculously quick. I have a hard time telling the difference between the two with passing speeds. Oh well, my loss... your gain.

I do have a CA dealer's license, but I don't sell cars, we sell trailers through HMC Trailer. I get to run my vehicles on dealer plates and save registration fees. If you are a CA buyer, I will complete all DMV paperwork for you. If you are buying out of state, I'll just send you the title.

Bid & buy with confidence... Look at my eBay profile. I've been doing eBay a LONG time. You don't get a perfect rating over 10+ years without underpromising and overdelivering. That is what I am intending to do here.

No reserve. You're getting yourself an amazing vehicle that has ALWAYS been garage kept by a single owner. No disappointments, I promise.
