Background:Reluctantly I am putting my grandfather's old truck up for sale. He passed away on the first of the year in 2015 and left me his truck, and unfortunately I have to sell it to get something better suited for snowy roads and a long commute to school.
I LOVE this truck. It's been awesome to drive, I get looks everywhere I go and everyone is blown away by the condition that it's in and how much I appreciate it.
He drove a different car in the winter unless he had to move something around, so the condition is excellent compared to 90% of these trucks in existence. Again, this is an amazing little truck. I'm reluctant to let it go, but I need to replace it with something better suited for my needs.
The bad:- Some rock chips on the hood and front bumper- The radio doesn't work very well (not a big fan of most of what's on the radio so it never really bothered me)- Will not come with a rear bumper; unfortunately I don't have it- Some light surface rust. It is not 100% rust free (full disclosure) but it is CLEAN. Really bumming I can't afford to keep it. It would last so long and would be great to have around the house.
The good:Maintenance:- Brand new re-upholstered seat!- New drive belts (OEM)- New thermostat / coolant flush (OEM)- New PCV valve (OEM)- New struts front and rear (NAPA)- Newer headlights (NAPA; bulbs, but the whole housing is replaced)- Fresh oil change (OEM filter)- Newer tires- Newer clutch (grabs very strong)
General good:- The PAINT is AMAZING. Really, the pictures don't do it justice. It POPS. The metallic is excellent and shines like crazy. My grandfather had it repainted when he bought it.- Freshly detailed (professionally, including a full wax)- Transmission shifts smooth (no grinding, no popping out of gear)- Drives smooth and straight- Typically average 24-25mpg combined- Comes with bed cap, but unfortunately I don't have the keys- Will come with a full tank of gas
