2 Just spent $1200 on: new front tires, new front brake linings, new windshield wipers, brakelight replacement, full interior and exterior professional cleaning
3 Has had regular tune-ups and maintenance (receipts for the past three years)
4 Only one owner/driver (senior citizen, 5,000 miles per year)
5 Very low mileage for a 17 year old car -- only 85,900 miles
6 Just passed inspection in late August 2016, no problem!

NEGATIVES:
1 Body has some rust
2 Has several small dents (not repaired after the one minor accident the car had)
and many scratches (someone's kid playing "bam bam" with a supermarket cart in a parking lot)
3 Has small leak near top of gas tank -- is safe as is, just keep it under 2/3 full
4 Has a lot of "progressive" bumper stickers which can be removed (using goo gone, cold cream etc.). Seller plans to remove some of them before sale.
Kelley Blue Book, Edmunds and AutoTrader price it (based upon year, miles, some rust and dents) at between $1550-$1850.

LATER NOTE: I just discovered my car mistakenly has a lien on it for an auto loan I paid off in 2002 (which should have been cleared with the DMV). Chase Bank confirms this, and is sending me a release from the lien which I must take to the DMV and wait for the bureaucratic wheels to turn. This should be completed by Oct. 13-14 - then I can transfer the title to a new owner.
