If you're looking for the most reliable car in the world that get's ridiculously great gas mileage, there isn't much better than a 4 cylinder Toyota Camry with a manual transmission.
The 221,7XX miles on this Camry have been pretty much ALL highway miles. I've used the car for the last six months as a second car to go back & forth between NYC and Philly. The previous owner (good friend) used the car to commute between Clinton and NYC before moving to DC, where it was then used to come back home for the weekend.
The CarFax history report is clean and clear. It shows three owners, although it really has only been myself and one other. They tagged him as a second owner when he moved from Clinton NJ to DC.
Any maintenance the car has needed over it's entire life has been taken care of. The tires and brakes are in excellent condition. The oil was changed regularly and doesn't need to be changed again for another few thousand miles, and the original clutch was replaced less than 1,000 miles ago. AC blows ice cold, heat is hot for this winter, and pretty much everything works as it should except for the passenger side mirror motor, which I didn't see a need to fix since I never moved it anyway. PA inspection is good until May of 2017 and of course will pass again with flying colors.
The exterior of the car looks as it should, a 220,000 mile car that has been parked in NYC and DC for the last 13 years. There are small dings, scratches, curb rash, and the infamous "Camry Dent" in the front bumper. (Google it). It has never been in an accident or had any panels replaced or paintwork, so the scuffs & stuff you see in the pictures are only cosmetic.
The interior on the other hand is VERY nice. It's where you spend most of your time anyway so we've kept it clean over the years. The cloth seats are in great condition and the car has NEVER been smoked in. Definitely an interior where I'd want to spend hours behind the wheel.
Now that I'm no longer making that commute, the car is up for grabs!
