Hello you guys. I am selling my 1982 BJ42 LX ( fj40 body style ) VIN NUMBER BJ42003381,4 CYLINDER DIESEL ( gets 25 - 28 MPG!! ) TOYOTA LAND CRUISER, RIGHT HAND DRIVE. The CRUISER has great compression at: 1= 400psi, 2= 405 psi, 3= 400 psi, 4= 401psi. The LX ( Luxury Edition ) came with the EXTREMELY RAREand impossible to replace BROWN AND WHITETOYOTA STOCKZEBRA SEATS. I have collected over 40 Land Cruisers since 1975 and the first time I ever saw these rare seats is when I purchased this Cruiser. Very cool. Also, the LX BJ42 has the FRONT FACING REAR CARGOBENCH SEATthat seats 3 people. Everybody faces FORWARD in this cruiser. That is another greataspect of this cruiser and extremely rare. The Cruiseris in EXCELLENT CONDITION and in my opinion could travel anywhere in the United States tomorrow. I would not hesitate driving it to Alaska. The Cruiser has ZERO cancer rust and isthe correct stockfactory Toyota Color of MediumBlue. I just finished the REFRESHon the BJ42 about two weeks ago. Cruiser runs COOL, does NOTLEAK,stops straight ( front disc brakes, reardrums )and is extremely comfortable to drive. NOTE:AREFRESHwas justdone by me and my team, NOT afull restoration.I can't give the cruiser away but have priced the reserve fairly in my opinion based on its running condition and the rarity of finding a BJ42 LX. You could look and look and never find one for sale. A buyer will definitely have bragging rights owning this one and the RHD diesels get a lot of attention due to rarity. Great conversation piece and any buyer should take this one to car shows whenever possible. Toyota included the 3B / 4 cylinder / DIESEL engine when they produced the 1982. It has a 4 speed transmission which is in superb condition andthe cruiser isequipped with FACTORY POWER STEERING. This cruiser was never abused, never taken " off road " very much according to the previous owner and is extremely clean underneath. The cruiser is completely SOLID. No rust damage on under carriage frame. I am extremely picky when I look for Land Cruisers to add to my collection. This is a nice one. The cruiser is 12 volt power. Iam the3rd owner. IMPORTANT NOTE: I HAVE OWNED SEVERAL DIESEL LAND CRUISERS OVER THE YEARS. SOME PEOPLE ASK ME ABOUT PARTS. GETTING PARTS IS "NOT" AN ISSUE. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ABLE TO GET PARTS EASILY FOR MY DIESELS AND WILL CERTAINLY ASSIST THE WINNING BIDDER IN THE FUTURE IS HE OR SHE EVER NEEDS PARTS. SOR.COM has a wonderful selection of Diesel parts. Also remember, the BODY of the 1982 is identical here in the United States so body parts are everywhere. The1982BJ42 LX Diesel Land Cruiser with its extremely rugged 3B 4 cylinder engine will run a half million miles if well taken care of. The cruiser currently only has 122k miles on it and runs perfect. Brakes are good, Clutch good, 4 speed Transmission shifts easily, 4 Wheel Drive Transfer Case shifts into High 4 and Low 4 easily. Power Steering is a rare treat to have in a Toyota Land Cruiser. Mine is in superb condition, no issues with the PS.So,,,,,,,,,,If you want one of theRARESTFACTORY STOCKLAND CRUISERSin the world then I suggest you look closely at purchasing this one.
