1967 Toyota Corona Deluxe RT43 4dr sedan 3spd
1967 Toyota Other Corona Description
I looked a long time for an RT43 to restore, but I am buying a bigger house and am going to sell a few things to generate revenue for house projects, and what sells, sells..if not, I'll keep.
I hate to put this one up for sale because early Coronas are extremely hard to find. Just pulled it out today from a long hibernation. This is a 1900 3R engine with a 3 speed transmission on the column. It has a bench front seat, which is very cool in this car. Solid body, needs a complete restoration of paint, interior, and some mechanical. The car was previously titled in Texas, which may explain how solid it is. Not much rust to find. Very solid floors. There is rust under the battery tray. No surprise there. I would guess that it spent it's life in an arid climate. The previous owner had done a lot to it, such as brakes, carb rebuild and more. I put an alternator and water pump on it. I think it needs the external voltage regulator though. It will run, stop and pull. It'd be safe to lot drive. It has been very reluctant to crank after sitting for a few years. Shifter linkage needs work. I bought it 6 years ago and drove it about 75 miles home which I though was risky, but it made it. So, it was roadworthy at that point. I'm sure the gas now is quite stale. Plan to tow it.
As stated, the body is solid. Has very little rust. Floors and trunk floor are really good. Just a little rust at a door corner and a small spot behind the right rear wheelwell. Body is in very good condition for it's age.
*Mileage stated is what is showing on the 5 digit odometer. Likely it has rolled over.
