2003 Toyota Tacoma Description

2003 Toyota Tacoma TRD extra cab V6 w/auto trans w/roughly 114,300 miles. Front power disc brakes, locking rear axle (button in cab), power windows, A/C (blows cold), sliding rear window. Everything works. Since purchasing this truck with 72,000 miles on it I’ve maintained it well and added some upgrades: new spark plugs and wires, K&N air filter, new rear muffler/exhaust, new rear exhaust sensor to take care of the check engine light, new high intensity headlight and taillight bulbs, new wiper blades, new belts. Only use full synthetic oil. I’ve never had any problems with the truck and it runs very well. The 4 wheel drive system works very well when engaged.

Now for the fun stuff (have receipts for everything)……I had it lifted with a 2 inch Old Man EMU front and rear suspension kit (rear leafs replaced with dakars) so that the new wheels/tires would fit. The suspension kit was installed at 78,000 miles. New 17 inch wheels with BF Goodrich Long Train T/A Tour P165/70R17 tires. The tires have roughly 17k miles on them as I change to the OEM wheels and truck tires (included) for winter driving and track the mileage. The truck runs much quieter and comfortably with the summer wheels/tires and sits up higher as the tires are around 20 inches high. The OEM wheels need to be painted and the truck tires have roughly 50% tread left.

I installed a JVC stereo system and front/rear speakers with tweeters and crossover. The system really rocks so if you like loud music you will like this system. It’s got blue tooth and a USB connection and connects to your phone very easily. I play Pandora through it.

The truck has an aftermarket Viper alarm system with remote start that is really nice in the winter. Has Weathertech floor mats. It has an UnderCover Classic Tonneau Cover (http://www.autoanything.com/tonneau-covers/undercover-tonneau-cover?kc=AFFCJ&PID=2206300&AID=10375065). Locks on each side (1 key included).

The truck has no dents but does have 2 small dings – one on the drivers door with a few light scratches next to it and one on the tailgate. I’ve included pictures of these blemishes. The truck had a painted bedliner material added at some point and there is some chipping that could use a touch up. There is one very small area where the paint is bubbled near the right rear wheel opening (see picture).Overall, the truck is in good condition but is 13 years old with original paint so is not perfect. As with any vehicle purchase, I’d recommend that you either come and inspect the truck or pay someone to perform an independent inspection. The truck is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early.

Added 75 additional photos. The OEM wheels/tires are included with the sale but they need sanding and painting.

CORRECTION - the tires on the truck are BF Goodrich Long Trail TA's but the size is P265/70R17 and are 31.7 inches tall.

Here is a link to the Old Man EMU kit that I added:

It cost around $1600 to have them installed and a full alignment on top of the $1000 purchase price. When I bought the truck the OEM suspension was shot so keep this in mind when shopping for other Tacomas.
