2000 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4x4 SPORT Description

Here is your chance to pick up a clean hard to find rust free, well maintaned2000 4Runner 4x4 Sport. Not the Limited model.
As you can see from the original window sticker this truck came with just about every option including the very desirable rear locking differential option.
Having owned a brand new 2000 4runner 4x4 stick shift without the rear locker option I saw this one for sale and bought it with intentions of fantastic excursions to those remote places onlya vehicle like this can get you to.
But my plans have changed and so I'm offering it for sale.
There is nothing wrong with it, everything is working as it should. I have not owned the truck very long but I have tested the 4x4 system and rear locker and they operate flawlessly. Brakes are excellent, new in front. Transmission also shifts perfectly.
I bought the truck from a local couple who replaced it with a newer 4runner. It spent all of its life in Tucson and recently in Colorado so there is NO rust anywhere. They don't come much drier than this one.There are written service records from the previous owner. Last timing belt change was at 92k miles.
Truck has a Pioneer DEH-P7700MP stereo in place of the original stereo.
Please note that I am out of the country at this time, but the 4runner is being stored by an Automotive repair shop ( D&L automotive ) in Cortez Coloradowhere I rent a parking space for it. They have the signed title to the truck and can complete the sale. Payment must be in the form of a bank check.Inspection of the 4runner is welcome, however no test drives will be permitted until you have inspected the cosmetic condition etc and are ready to buy contingent on a test drive to confirm that everything is as described mechanically.
This 4runner is for the person who has been looking for this model and is ready to buy.
I also have a set of four brand new 245/75/16 BFG All Terrain tires which I was going to install which are available for an extra $500 ( cost $660 ). These tires are what I would install for the Alaska to Patagonia road trip I had planned.
I recently took the 4runner to Midas to have them do their basic roadworthy check of the brakes, driveline and suspensionand they found nothing in need of attention. Its ready for a roadtrip !
