2003 Toyota Tundra
2003 Toyota Tundra Description
Selling my 2003 Toyota Tundra. I currently use this daily so as of the writing of this auction it has 172,824 miles. It is PA inspected until the end of June of this year. I purchased it used. The former owner maintained it well. He used only Mobil one Synthetic oil and I have done the same. It is my understanding that the same synthetic oil be used for the rest of the life of the engine. The former owner also kept the undercarrage clean. He also used POR15 to undercoat the frame as preventative maintenance. (See pictures). The motor runs strong. The former owner changed the exhaust and now has a deep throaty loud tone. I am including the original exhaust that he gave me incase the new owner doesnt like the current exhaust note. To me it's similar to the new camaro ss or mustang gt. Im 42 and it doesnt bother me.The transmission was just serviced when I had a new radiator installed. It shifts well and doest slip. It seems to shift hard from first to second. Im not sure if this is due to a shift kit or normal for tundras. It hasnt ever been a problem however I wanted to mention it in this listing. The interior is clean and the seats are rip and tear free. The carpet is average or above average for the year and miles. Neither I nor the former owner are smokersThe tires are about at the end of their life and wont pass PA inspection this June. The rear tail light has a hole in the plastic lens. I dont foresee anything else that wouldnt pass the next inspection. Im not a mechanic but I have had it at the garage twice in the past month to keep up on regular maintenance.
The 4x4 works well. It engages and disengages properly. Only after it disengages the 4WD light continues to blink. When I read up on it I leared the actuator needs to be cleaned. I have not attempted this but its not in 4x4 so It wasnt a priority to me. On the body there is a rough repair to damage to the box ( see picture ). The front bumber has had prior damage. The hood release is missing its the handle so after the hood is popped there is a wire in place to pull to unlatch it.
These things were taken into consideration when pricing the truck. Its a good vehicle that never let me down. If your looking for a Toyota truck without paying top dollar consider this one. Please message me with question.
