1993 Toyota MR2 Base Coupe 2-Door 2.2L
1993 Toyota MR2 Description
Rare medium blue in superb condition! I am the 2nd owner and I have owned this MR2 since 3/95 and meticulously maintained it. It has been a very dependable vehicle. It was stored most winters and actually was hardly driven in the rain. I changed the rims with new tires on 5/30/2014 (101,700 miles) because it was getting hard to find matching tires for the OEM rims. The 1993 OEM tire size for the front tires are an odd size and are hard to find in a performance tire. I have the original rims if the buyer wants them. The Pioneer Audio System is a touch screen model with navigation, HD Radio, Ipod interface and bluetooth for cell phones. Speakers have also been upgraded. I will include the original Toyota premium audio system (in perfect working condition).
The condition and history of this MR2 is as follows:
All outstanding condition issues are minor:
- Front Left Strut Plate occasionally makes some noise
- Power Antenna is broke
- Missing some small push fasteners in front trunk
- Some tabs are broke on a passenger side interior plastic part
- Some scratches on the glove box door
- Rubber nubs on back side of the floor mats are old and breaking
There are no other dents or scratches
Maintenance History: All regular maintenance performed + Synthetic oil used, other maintenance performed:
- Thermostat replaced 1/1/2008, 81805 miles
- Leaking radiator replaced 3/25/2008, 82236 miles
- Water Pump & Timing Belt 9/23/2008, 86251 miles
- Alternator 6/16/2009 89330 miles
- Clutch & Pressure Plate 5/11/2010, 92559 miles
- A/C converted to R134 6/30/2014, 102049 miles
- Distributor Cap, Plugs & Wires 4/13/2015, 103100 miles
Damage history:
- 4/18/1997 Hit in rear left corner, repaired bumper & tail light
- 11/13/2006 Hit small animal, repaired front bumper & spoiler
- 10/12/2015 Stopped car, deer didn't & slid into front passenger fender, small dent repaired (deer was not injured)
One other item not listed in the condition of the car is that the mud flap on the front passenger side has a dog bite! One day my neighbor's dog decided he want to make my mud flap a chew toy! I have listed everything that a extremely picky buyer would notice. The driver's seat and floor mats could use a shampoo cleaning and the engine compartment steam cleaned if you were looking for car show condition. However this MR2 is in outstanding condition and would take very little effort to be in pristine condition. I have nothing to hide. The pictures have only been edited for brightness and to hide the license plate number.
I am selling it because I just don't drive it enough any more as I have too many vehicles. I still love the car and will not sell it if I don't get my price and may change my mind on selling at the end of this auction.
