2012 Toyota Corolla L Sedan 4-Door Description

Here we have a 2012 Toyota Corolla base 4 door sedan that I purchased new in Pennsylvania for backup transportation. I had a 1994 Dodge diesel pickup for my daily driver, and thought I had better get something just in case it broke. 5 years later, with 300k miles on the clock, the truck had broken once, out of service for 2 days for a starter motor. The Toyota never really got used. Now I have a new truck and I won’t need this car at all. Back to the car… A Toyota Corolla sedan is a great reliable basic mode of transportation that will get you from A to B with no troubles. Or fun, or enjoyment, or anything. I never liked driving that car from the moment I sat in it. So I figured I would try to fix it to where I would enjoy driving it over the years I owned it. I pulled out the suspension and installed Megan Racing coil over suspension. It is almost infinitely adjustable. I installed strut braces front and rear. I added a TRD rear sway brace. I lowered the car about 2 inches. I replaced the stock tires and wheels with O-Z Ultraleggara 18” wheels and low profile tires. I put in a short throw shifter and metal cable end bushings in the shifter cables for short, crisp shifting. I tinted the windows. Then I installed a turbocharger kit. The kit consisted of bigger fuel injectors, a turbo manifold, liquid cooled turbocharger, a 3” turbo-back exhaust system, a front mounted intercooler and associated piping, blow off valve, AEM piggyback computer, and cold air intake. To handle the additional power, the clutch was upgraded to a SPEC Stage 2+ disc and pressure plate. Then it went to the dyno, where it was tuned to perfection from idle to red line. The stock 132 horses at the flywheel was improved to 230 horses at the front wheels. I can promise you, this car is now a pleasure to drive, if you are truly a driver. It is an angry, asphalt-chewing beast. There are some states in the U.S. that have emissions laws that state if the engine light is on the car will not pass inspection. If you live in one of these states, I would advise you NOT TO BUY THIS CAR. The engine light stays on, nobody can get it to turn off. The tuner assures me, the car is running perfectly. But the computer says otherwise. Even the maker of the car and the maker of the turbo kit cannot make the light stay off. But if you live in a state where the emissions laws are not a factor, this car is probably for you, if you would like embarrassing the Mustang and Camaro boys with what the heck was that little silver thing that just left me in the dust… Anyway, thanks for looking, if there is any questions or additional pictures you need, let me know. And happy bidding!
