1995 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ80 Description

1995 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ80.Up until a few weeks ago, this awesome SUV was my pride and joy.Unfortunately, during our last ice storm she slid into a cement barrier.Accident did not involve another vehicle, just mine.As I carry only liability and not collision, I will have to suffer the loss without compensation.Anyway, enough of the whining!

LC was in great condition prior to this incident.Always maintained with records of this maintenance.Because there was no insurance claim, the WA title is still Clean and Clear.

As I was only a few miles from home, I drove it to my garage.By the time I got there, it was apparent the the radiator had been damaged and lost its fluid causing the engine to run hot.Temp gauge verified this, but thought I may as well get it home. After shutting it down, I didn’t attempt to start it for a couple days.It did not start.Have tried it a few times since and still does not start. It does turn over just fine, but I only have let it crank a few times each time I tried in order to save the battery charge and also, it always has stated on the first couple cranks in the past.Don’t know if I damaged the motor by letting it run hot for that short time or if it is some other issue.Like I said, it turns over just fine, so the motor is not seized. That being said, I don’t know the extent of the damage other than the obvious.Although damaged, it drove home straight and I had a mechanic friend of mine take a look and he said it did not appear to have frame damage.Told me the only way to know for sure was to measure each side to see if they were identical.I am not a mechanic myself and will not bother as I don’t have the money to fix it anyways even if the engine and frame were unharmed.

Has 197K original miles and ran and drove perfectly before the accident. The Bridgestone tires were just put on about 1000 miles ago – ($500+) along with other maintenance updates.

As those of you that use these for off-roading know, the parts are like Gold and situations like this usually are more valuable parts wise than if it was never damaged. If you need a part or parts for your 93-97, you most likely would end up getting it for free, plus money if you had the space and desire to part it out the remainder on e-Bay and or Craigslist.Any questions or more pics needed, let me know.

It is garaged and I will work with you to babysit it until you make arrangements to pick it up or have it shipped. I am available most of the time and will share phone contact info with you so we can stay in touch after your purchase. :-)

Couple other points – All glass is good other than windshield is cracked. I removed the front bumper for a better look. Surprisingly, it doesn't look that bad - probably repairable. Passenger side front door window needs motor or whatever – has never worked.Nice stereo that works well but needs antenna mast.Interior is very nice with no tears rips burns etc.3rd row seating with both seats.Interior is very nice. Both airbags deployed.More questions, feel free to ask. Thanks
