Things that the truck needs:
Left hand rear wheel bearing is humming a bit. I have brand new rear wheel bearings, they just aren't installed. Other than that, shes good to go.
If there's any questions please ask.
Do not bid to come look, If you're bidding you are buying. Please come look before you buy if you can. Also arrange a pre-purchase inspection if you wish, I will take the truck to get it seen by whomever you choose. I just passed inspection this past month with no issues.
Things that need to be noted:
Truck smokes black under load. I have never touched the fuel screw and I cannot say if it is over fueling or not but the new injectors and the rebuild have not sorted this issue out. I am disclosing it so everyone knows. It will puff blue smoke on startup only for a few seconds or so, then it goes away. I changed the oil every 3 thousand miles and it doe not consume any oil, at least I don't have to add any between the oil changes.
Cosmetic condition:
Cosmetically, the truck is in fair condition. Its got rust in the common spots, in the rear quarter panels. You can see the pictures to judge for yourself. The frame is good, there's some surface rust but it's been coated in the past so that may have helped. The rear section of the frame is where these trucks really rot but fortunately it is not too bad. I will take some proper pictures to make sure everything is visible. One of the emblems was off when I got the truck but I still have it. I just never got around to putting it back on as I planned a full restoration of this old girl. Truck is equipped with Kaymar front and rear bumpers, which are a great addition and value added. The interior is nice and clean with no tears. There is a seam that needs to be resown (cannot be seen as it's hidden) on the rear bench, will show in pictures. The rear door hatch, lower part, has the carpet peeling on one side. I guess it can be fixed or replaced with a cool Wagon Gear rear hatch storage door. Headliner is OK too with some slight staining but nothing too bad. Everything in the dash works, all the instruments, air conditioning works but the compressor is wired directly by po. One has to cycle it on and off manually with a switch I have under the dash. I found this to be slightly annoying in the beginning but got used to it and I didn't bother to fix it. It was on the list of the things to do when I was going to tackle the body repair. I had attempted to fix it before when i tore the dash but failed to do so. In any instance the A/C works great and blows nice and cold. The truck is a 24v truck so I have a step down transformer installed in the glove box. It is wired to the lighter circuit so it only comes on with ignition so it does not draw on the system while truck is parked. This is used for the stereo only. I have no other accessories in the truck.
The paint is fair with minor scratches in places. This truck has been in a hail storm prior to me getting it and there are some minor dents visible. Again, these were gonna get fixed eventually. I also want to point out that I would reveal the gutters for good measure. Also the windshield has 2 chips, one of which formed a crack. I bought the truck like this and never got around to getting that fixed. A local guy I know can do it for 250, so that's what I assume anyone should expect to pay for fixing the windshield. I think this about covers it so if you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Happy bidding, and thanks for looking.
