1988 Toyota Land Cruiser GX Description

This beautiful Land Cruiser was first sold in August of 1988 in the San Fernando Valley located in southern California where it is still today. It was a true 1 owner truck from '88 until recently when I purchase it from the original owner just a few months ago. In June of 2012 the truck failed emissions twice and could not be registered due to the strict CA emissions laws. That's when the owner decided to completely rebuild the drive train which included a complete engine rebuild, transmission and transfer case service.Unfortunately during the rebuild process the owner fell into some health issues and even after the completion of the truck it had been sitting for 4 years due to his well being. Being a Land Cruiser nut myself I had seen this truck for years driving by and had spoke to him on several occasions about selling his truck but with no luck. Until recently where we reached an agreement and with great excitement took ownership. Since the truck was not run for a number of years and the fuel did have an odor, I decided to replace the fuel tank along with the complete fuel pump. After doing so the truck fired right up and ran with such great performance. I quickly took it for a ride and was very impressed by the 3FE motor which is known to be bulletproof. The transmission shifts smoothly and the ride is surprisingly very comfortable. So here's a chance of owning a very iconic 60 Series Land Cruiser that is known worldwide as one of the greatest off road vehicles ever manufactured. Now on to the details. The car had been painted before the complete engine / transmission rebuild which was 5 years ago. It shows extremely well and has a few minor scratches and only on ding up by the roof area. This truck has ZERO rust, I mean nothing, nada, no where. It is a great example of a FJ60/62 series that are harder and harder to find in this great condition.
Instead of listing all the goods which will be a very long list, I will just keep it short with the major points,
