1996 Toyota Tacoma Base Description

1996 Toyota Tacoma Xtra Cab 4x4 equipped with a 2.7L Gasoline I4 4 cylinder engine - selling as is.

Car runs like a champ, and will need some TLC if purchased.

Car has a clean title, and has been well taken care of. Was purchased in January of 2016 while I was living in CA. I need to buy a car that's more compact to drive around in the city but would absolutely keep this truck if I could.

KEY FEATURES

- This truck is really a tank. It's small but incredibly powerful, and has a STRONG frame. Custom bumper has a 3500lb towing capacity. Towed a 5x8 U-haul traileracross the country without issue.

COSMETIC ISSUES:

- Rusty tow ball

- Baseball sized dents on tailgate

- Rusty dings on bumper

- Rim wear & tear (rear, passenger side tire is missing a custom accessory)

- Driver side seat has 2 large rips

- Passenger seat is dirty & stained

- Driver's side seat has a few small stains

- Rear driver's side pass seat has water stains

- Paint chipping off tire nuts & rim accessory

- Few small chips on door edges

- Shell is old - window screens are functional but very minimal wear & tear considering age

- Driver's seat recline handle missing plastic cover

- Small chip in windshield

NEEDS FIXING:

- Airbag light is on (mechanic diagnosed as a wiring issue)

- BF Goodrich All Terrain tires will need replacing soon. They're thinning, and a few years old.

- AC feeds out room temperature air in warm/hot weather

- Shell's rear window hydraulic lifts need replacing

- Shell's upper brake light hasn't been wired to truck yet

-Shell’s rear window needs resealing (water gets into the shell, leaving the bottom wood frame of the carpet kit wet after a rain)

- License plate frame lights' wires are too short for bumper (no light on license plate at night)

If you're looking for a true tankoma, look no further. This car isSTRONG, reliable, and runs like a beaut. Other than the fixes listed above, this truck is in perfect running shape. Never had an issue with it, and with a littlemaintenance this car will not disappoint.
