The Quality, Value and Sportiness of this Car has impressed our family So-Much that 3 more similar vehicles like it were purchased by siblings (and we used to be a Mercedes Family)! Anyway Toyota Makes a Very Good, Durable and Economical Package! From our families experience on both our 2003 and 2004 Toyota Matrix's 1.8 liter FWD we have gotten approx 28-32 City/Rural and 35-39 Highway/Trip depending how fast it is are driven on the highway! - - OK enough, back to the vehicle description, this is a Rust-Free and "was an Accident-free" car with Original paint, until my daughter's boyfriend slid on the ice this past January and hit a frozen bank in a parking lot (Not Sure we got all the details)?!?. Anyway the 5-mph bumper did it's job, but due to the angle of impact the Front Left-Hand Fender was Twisted and damaged! The damage is purely sheet/metal/cosmetic and the Care Still Drives Straight and goes down the road just fine! Structure this car goes down the road as straight as an arrow and on it's most recent Front End Alignment the was no deviation from it's previous 18 month alignment. Most people shopping for a Toyota Matrix know of the high acclaim given to this particular 1.8 liter 1ZZ-FE, VVT-i 16-Valve engine series. The main Reason in Dependability, Durability and Reduced Maintenance due to it's Excellent Engineering Design and Reputation. One feature that is well appreciated is it's long wearing internal Timing Gears, Tensioners and Chain. Unlike many Honda's, Fords's, Mazda's and Volkswagen's which have rubber timing belts (many interference type) that need service and replacement with water pumps and a whole host of other related accessories ever 40-60,000 miles at cost exceeding a $800-$1,200.00 in many cases, this engine just quietly and dependably goes on and on and costs Nothing! No Leaks No Noise, Just Year In and Year Out Reliability and Maintenance-Free Service! - - This is A very Well optioned base type model, it has Ice Cold Air-Conditioning; Great CD/Stereo AM/FM High-Fi System; Power Door Locks, Power/Electric Windows, Power/Electric Mirrors, Tilt Steering Wheel, Remote Gas Cap Release, etc. Over the past 8 years every Maintenance Need, Service Schedule or Problem that arose was dealt with fast, professionally and completely. Many of the over $6,000.00 plus (having invoices for all and definately lost two or more and includes the $595.00 Python REMOTE Start and Security System) spent on this car was pro-active type preventive repairs prior to their needs! For example both FWD C.V. Axles, Front Suspension Bushings and Wheel Bearings were replaced in 2015 when a a couple torn rubber/leaking boots were discovered! Quality NEW Full Front Struts Assemblies with Springs and Bearing Plates Were Replaced in 2015 and The rears were done in 2012. Tie Rod-Ends and Ball Joints we replaced in 2012 or 2013. Not all repairs and service have an invoice as I have changed the Oil, Oil Filter, Air, Filter, Wiper Blades Countless Times along with Radiator Flushes, Engine Cleaning, Battery Changes, HEET and Lucas Fuel Treatments in the Winter, Techtron Fuel Injection Cleaners and Treatments in the Summer, etc!!! The most recent professional repair was a Tune-Up with NGK Spark Plugs, Fuel-Injection Cleaning, Napa Oil Filter and Synthetic Castrol Motor Oil, Full Brake Service Including Japanese OEM Brake Rotors and AC/Delco Lifetime Dust-Free Brake Pads just this month! Also Two New Quality Good-Years on the Rear in 2016 and Continental's on front in either 2013 or 2014, but the best tire feature is that you have the basic mini tire which sucks so we also bought the the $150.00 Toyota Factory 5th Rim and Mounting it with a newer used Continental "Extreme DWS", so You can Now see why your Daughter or Wife Will Be Taken Care of Safely and Dependably By This Very Well Maintained and Serviced Toyota for the Long Term! - - Please if Local come and test-drive and inspect or even have your mechanic check it out prior to bidding!
