1900 Toyota Land Cruiser Land Cruiser BJ75 Description

Vintage Car Dealership | Nashville Vintage Auto Dealer | About Niche 1990 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ75 LHD Turbo Diesel 97 Professional Photos

*** Ebay does not Recognize Non-US VINs, this truck is a 1990 model...not a 1900*** Up for sale is quite possibly the most unique Land Cruiser for currently for sale in the US. This is a very rare, and extremely hard to find 1990 LHD Land Cruiser BJ75! This BJ75 was imported to the US from Denmark and was a former Fire Rescue Vehicle. It has a tremendously low amount of mileage on it, 55,800km or roughly 34,700 miles! It also is a LHD 70 series which are hard to find in the US as well. Being a 90' model produced in 12/89 it features the 3BII 3.4L diesel motor made for less than 2 years. It is very similar to the legendary 3B motor, but features a rotary injection pump, revised head, and revised exhaust manifold. The 3BII is mated to an H55F 5-Speed Transmission that shifts flawlessly. This BJ75 is geared to do 65-70mph on the interstate comfortably. Another rare and highly sought after feature on this BJ75 are the cable operated differential locks. They are bulletproof! The RHD Japanese variants rarely have diff locks, and when they do, they are usually the electronic version. This 75 has been fitted with a 24v Ramsey winch, and the controller is in the glovebox. It, along with all the other features, work flawlessly. The utility box on the back of this truck is absolutely spectacular! Roll up aluminum doors, very stout, and can easily support 300lbs or more on the roof. The ladder on the back is also a neat feature unique to this truck. In the last 5 months, I have done a lot of maintenance and upgrades to this BJ75. The work includes all new front brakes (rotors and pads) re-packed the wheel bearings, oil service and filters, 2 new batteries, 4 New BFG Commercial TA tires with look and ride amazing, and had a custom Turbo setup professionally installed with all correct gauges. This truck is running a brand new Garrett GT series turbo, not a used or Chinese cheap turbo. I had it professionally installed by Coffey's Race Prep and Fabrication as he's an expert on turbo charging. We also installed a digital pyrometer in the dash to monitor EGT's as well as a boost gauge. This truck is dialed in and running very safe EGT's and this Turbo setup was just what this rugged 3BII needed. This BJ75 keeps up with modern traffic without issue. It is also ready for any added gear/weight/modifications one might throw at it. The possibilities are endless with this BJ75. It can be used for. Mobile business, work, or (and this is what we hope happens to it) some hardcore overlanding! We can't think of a better rig to start with for a crazy expedition rig. This BJ75, like 99.9% of the European Land Cruiser of this era is not equip with AC, however, over the past few months I have been tracking down AC parts high and low and have all of the most hard to find pieces already collected and they will be included in the sale. Those parts include all of the under dash parts for a LHD 70-series including the evaporator box. I also have a NOS Toyota 24v AC clutch and Idler pulley I had shipped from Japan. Those 2 parts alone with over $700 + shipping. All that needs to be acquired is a condenser (been told a US 80-series one will work) compressor which can be bought from a number of places, a bracket will need to be made for the compressor, and custom lines by any AC hose shop. A few modifications will need to be made in the process I'm sure, but AC is not that complicated and the model plastic duct work and evaporate box are the the hardest to find...but again, that is all included in the sale :) Also included is about $500 worth of brand new spare parts that I acquired but never installed including an aluminum radiator, new radiator hoses, new thermostat, oil and fuel filters, etc, etc. Cosmetics: As you can see this BJ75 is in AMAZING condition, mainly due to it's very low mileage, and always being kept inside. The truck has always been red, but was repainted a different shade by the fire house. The paint on the cab is in excellent condition with only a few small blemishes here and there, the paint on the box is relatively new, glossy, and matches well, but there are a fair bit of blemishes here and there. I will say that I am very picky on cosmetics, but by Land Cruiser standards, this truck is in phenomenal shape with NO real rust apart from some surface rust underneath or a small bubble on a bed floor seam. Keep in mind, this truck was USED for work, not a show truck....but please judge for yourself! Reserve is set at a reasonable price, and we aim to have this truck sold by auction end.
