1991 Toyota MR2 Description

1991 MR2 SW20 5-speed.

This is rare, very rare car. It is very fast, economical to use and maintain. It has been very reliable for me. Starts on the first turn. V6 3.0 transplant from Camry.

This is a partial list of all the work done in this car:

•Transmission shifts great, recently exchanged it, new stage 2 clutch kit and throw bearing.

•3.0 Lexus/Camry engine fromhttps://www.alnjdmautomotors.com in Texas. These are the engines installed in Camrys and other much heavier cars, very reliable and provide plenty of power for this lighter platform.

•Recent water pump, accessories, timing belt, hoses, etc. while engine was out, a few thousand miles ago.

•All the wire harness was professionally done in the United Kingdom by specialized firm. (records included). Please seehttp://www.woodsport.org/joomla/

•Rebuilt steering rack.

•Brand newelectricpower steering pump.

•Many new parts on the front end. Tie rods, terminals, bushings, etc. New engine mounts, new emergency brake cables.

•Lowered front and rear.

•New seats – re-upholstered.

•Brand new Toyota 17” wheels (not used or refurbished, brand new).

•Tires have plenty ofthread left.

•Fiberglass body kit, side-skirts.

•New T-Top seals (not installed): T-tops had minor leak, and since these are no longer available and are impossible to find, I bought adonor car that was rear ended, perfect seals and additional T-Tops are included, but not installed. I sealed the t-tops with silicone.

•Swapped tail lights to 95 JDM KOUKI. Brand new longtrunk cylinder to match the new rear garnish.

•New double DIN stereo.

•Cold AC.

•Newer Celica steering wheel to substitute the old looking / outdated MR2 steering wheel. Airbag not connected, as I cannot trust the compatibility to the computer in the car. All the system is intact, and the original wheel and airbag are in the trunk. Please note that airbags expire, and after 26 years, the originalairbagis probably not good. However, it is included just in case you want to install it again.

•Turbo fog lamps (brand new) installed but not connected.

•MISHIMOTO performance radiator and fans.

•New battery.

•RAZO Heavy weight shift knob. New Toyota shifter trim and boot.

•New clear lenses and turn signals.

•AMAZING RIDE, AND VERY FAST. DRIVES GREAT.

•This car can be serviced by a Toyota tech. Easy to maintain and very inexpensive. High performance.

•Not raced or abused. I am not a kid anymore but love these cars.

•All gauges work, including the tachometer, speedometer, check engine light, etc.

•Lots of records. The list above is just a partial list of all the work done. And a ton of hoursthat would cost thousands.

•Selling my toys to buy a Jeep Wrangler for my daughter.

This is a very unique car, not perfect or brand new. But worth every penny. High performance and look. Chassis has 158K miles, not more than 3000milesafter the extensive restoration and engine conversion. It has been very reliable and fun for me.

Full Disclosure:

As stated above, the airbag is not connected. There is no cruise control, as it was intentionally disconnected during the conversion. I have been asked if the car will pass emissions anywhere, which I cannot guarantee. There is no emission testing here in Florida. The car does not smoke or smell at all, but I do not know if all the emissions equipment is there. The paint is very nice, but not show quality. I have been asked if it can make a cross country trip. I would not hesitate to take it anywhere, but there are no guarantees. Sold as-is, where-is. A lot of work and dedication went into making this car the way it sits now, but it is a 26-year old car and I will not give any warranties.

I trust this car 100%, have made long trips with it with not a single issue, and I simply love it. Turns heads everywhere and everyone has something to say about it.
