Built by TRD (Toyota Racing Development) along with 19 other Celica GT-S's in 2000 for use in the Long Beach, CA Celebrity/Pro Grand Prix. This is the ONLY one that had a VIN # and was registered in order to be used for press events. These cost over $40K to build in 2000. 13K original miles. Very nice, quality build by TRD with only the best parts. Very reliable, durable track car. I will list all the upgrades below. Maintained very well and all fluids changed religiously. I have many receipts that will go with the car. Car is ready to go now. Needs nothing to drive anywhere or enjoy at any track. Being it is so light it is very fast and revs to 7800 RPM. It is very solid feeling and very safe. Perfect vehicle to get your kids into racing with too as it is simple, safe, and easy to drive.
4 cylinder, twin cam 16V VVTL-i 2ZZ engine built by Yamaha. Same engine that is used in the Lotus Elise. With the TRD tune, exhaust, and drop in air filter it is rated at 192 HP. It is a drop dead reliable motor! TRD also installed a 6 quart Accusump oiling system that keeps the engine from getting starved or oil like a stock engine. Compression is 11.5-1. It is 1.8L and makes its peak power at 7600RPM and has a 7800RPM rev limiter. There is also a shift light that TRD installed on the roll cage to let you know when to shift. 6 speed manual transmission also beefed up by TRD. It has electronic port injection with individual runners for the intake manifold. A compression test was recently performed and all cylinders were perfect at 110-115psi. Being that the car only weighs 2481 lbs, it is VERY fast. I was shocked at how fast this car is, how well it handles and how easy it is to drive. It is like a 1960's Cobra but much more refined. Serpentine belt, Centerforce clutch. spark plugs, front wheel bearings, hubs, front and rear brake rotors, calipers, and Hawk brake pads etc are all new with in the past 500 miles. Enkei lightweight 17X7.5" wheels and Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires are also new in the last 500 miles. You can drive this car to the track!! It passes smog in CA too, which is the strictest state! Ideal for Open Track Days, SCCA IT, NASA PT, Time Trials,or just to have fun in!!
The 4 wheel independent suspension on this car is incredible. It handles like it is on rails! TRD really did a fantastic job using Eibach coil over adjustable height springs with KYB AGX struts and TRD camber/caster plates. Front and rear sway bars are TRD brand and the full roll cage was custom installed for a factory type install with padding. Factory cloth bucket seats are very comfortable and Simpson Racing 5 pint harnesses keep you solidly in place. Carpet, harnesses, and seats just professionally steam cleaned so you wont have other peoples sweat on you!!Front bumper has clear bra on it to protect from road rash. TRD installed one of their short throw shifters also and a window net. There is a battery shut off lever installed on the roll cage. Motul high temperature brake fluid is fresh along with all other fluids. Brand new HAWK racing pads all the way around and braided steel brake lines. The brakes on this car are incredible also. It stops on a dime! There is a fire suppression system installed by TRD on the cage also. TRD deleted the radio, speakers, back seat, and A/C all to save weight. Total race weight with all fluids (including a full tank of fuel) is 2481 lbs. It has a Go-Pro mount on roof so you can video your laps.

This car was used in the Long Beach Toyota Pro/Celebrity Grand Prix Race from 2000-2004 every April. It was an event that not only attracted hundreds of thousands of spectators, but was also televised. This is car # 24. The cars #'s were not in order, so a few #'s were skipped. 20 of these cars were built and this is one of the 5 red ones built. Stickers have been removed, but you can have them duplicated if you so choose as you can still see the outlines of where they were and there are plenty of pictures online showing how they were done. Molly Designs was the original supplier for the stickers on these cars. This was the ONLY one of the TRD built cars that had a VIN and was legal for the street. Clear California title that can be transferred to any state or county. You can google the different year Long Beach Celebrity Grand Prix and see this car in action!! It was driven by Baseball Hall of Fame legendRobin Yount (shown with this car in picture #4, and also shows what original stickers looked like ) in 2000, by retired Nascar driverRobert Huffman in 2001, by actor Mark Paul Gosselaar in 2002, byMotocross/Supercross champion Jeremy Mcgrath in 2003 and by actor Carlos Bernard in 2004. Many other celebrities sat in this car and it was used for many photo shoots over the years.
In my 20+ years in the automotive business, I have rarely seen, owned, or driven a nicer built and well balanced vehicle that is so fantastically set up and taken care of. I have driven many race cars and non have been this nimble and light on its feed such as this car. I have owned over 1000 Mustangs, Shelby's, Big Block's, Boss's, Pantera's, Saleen's, Roush's, Cobra's. Corvettes, Lightning's etc, mostly collector models, and rarely see a vehicle (of ANY type) kept in this condition and so well set up.Suspension and steering is smooth and not bouncy or twitchy when driving down the road, on the freeway, or at the track. Does not wander when on freeway.Celica is insured for $25K on a collector car policy and it is $428 per year for full coverage and agreed value of $25K. Most insurance companies will do the same for you and insure it as a collector vehicle and it is only going to continue to climb in value if kept in this condition.
Nothing leaks, drips, or seeps. No warning lights illuminated on the cluster. Everything works as new. No sweat marks, stains, smells etc on interior. Seats are like new. Cloth still supple and smells new. Foam is firm and not worn down like most. It really looks, drives and feels like a near new car. Power windows, locks and mirrors all work. All lights work. It starts the first time, EVERY time. I am very picky of what I choose to deal with. No one else pays attention to the details that I do that sells vehicles, or spends the time to take the amount of pictures I do, videos, and description!! You simply can NOT find another one like this!!! I take the amount of pictures I do, videos, and write the small novel that I do on each and every vehicle I sell, so that the buyer can feel 100% confident on what they are getting with no worries or concerns.
Amazingly clean from top to bottom. No surprises or disappointments with this car. Absolutely Red Paint shines beautifully and has been waxed regularly (you can literally shave in it). It is drop dead gorgeous. Look at the reflections (hard to photograph with the glare from the reflections, so I took some pictures in the sun, and some in the shade). Door jambs, engine box, wheels, underside,trunk jambs have also been kept clean. Look at the underside and frame rails. The only flaws on this car are cosmetic as to be expected on a 17 year old car that has spent most of its life on the track. There is plenty of chips, a few scuffs and scratches and areas where you can see the outline of where the stickers used to be. You rarely will see an interior this immaculate. Again, I am VERY picky (I am told the pickiest person that all of my friends know) and believe in being 100% honest about each and any flaw or issue I can find and I go overvehicles very thoroughly. I know myself, that I want to know everything about something I am buying before I buy it, so I treat others in the same manner and respect. Everything works like it should. Again, please take the time to look at the 100 detailed pictures and videos.Car is very clean through out and a thrill to drive. You can drive thiscar anywhere. Mileage may also varyminimallyascar may be driven for supervised test drives and/or inspections and I do drive it sometimes, but of course will still kept indoors when not being driven.
