2000 Toyota Celica Description

2000 Celica GTS with the famous 2ZZ engine, the same engine as in the Lotus Elise. The GTS package features the high performance engine, better suspension, leather interior, etc. This was the top of the line Celica. The car is a daily driver, I would drive this car across country without a doubt. It is a 17 year old car and does have some minor issues as described in the condition section. Apart from the cosmetic issues, I had a new fuel pump installed. For whatever reason, after installing, the gas gauge responds very slowly, and the car starts on the 2nd or 3rd attempt. After the first attempt you can hear the fuel pump prime. I brought it back to the mechanic who installed it but they refused to do anything about it. It runs fine, has never stalled or stranded me, but it takes a few turns for it to start. I have driven for over a year this way, no issues other than multiple key turns to start.About a year ago I had the hood and doors repainted due to clear coat issues. Now the roof, bumpers, and door handles have the same clear coat issues. A/C blows cold but needs a recharge every few months. I bought a can of A/C pro and it works fine after recharge. There is a small oil leak which is common in older Celicas, small spot on the driveway, nothing major. Interior is excellent condition as shown in the photos. The leather has been well taken care of.Transmission and engine run smoothly and strong. Brakes and hoses are up to spec. Tires are in great condition. Ready to drive home, just might need to turn the key a few times at first. Everything else works as it should. These cars in perfect condition sell for $5k-$6k, so this is a steal for a high performance Celica GTS. Check engine light goes on due to O2 sensor, nothing major and common on Celicas. Can be reset and fixed easily. This is a great project Celica GTS, with a little paint and work this could be an excellent $5k-$6k car. My wife ran her Celica GT up to 180k, and I ran my last Celica GT up to 150k miles. I am selling this GTS because I bought an MR2.
** As of today the mileage is 99998, I do use the vehicle, so mileage may be slightly over 100k once the car is sold.
