This car was recently listed as having an electrical problem, but that has been corrected. Turned out to be a frayed turn signal wire.

Let me start with the positive things about the car that I know. Keep in mind this is an 18 year old car, and with anything used of this vintage there will always be some negatives. I'll do this in laundry list format:
*This toyota has only 111,665 miles on it, and it's just had the timing belt and water pump replaced, along with the bearings under the timing cover, power steering belt, and serpentine belt, all with top end and Japanese parts.
*The car has had a full tune up including NGK plug wires, plugs from Toyota, thermostat and red coolant from Toyota, and the o-rings for the fuel injectors were replaced for good measure on this older car.
*the tires are a fairly new matching set of Firestone Affinity Touring tires with excellent tread.
*The front control arms and rotors were replaced in order for this car to pass Maryland inspection, which it did, but the new owner will need to re-inspect.
*newer wipers on the front
*a good stock sound system with a Pioneer CD player and remote. Very nice.
*A brand new radiator straight from the Toyota dealer was installed as well.
*This car drives straight and smooth down the road. The transmission shifts good through all gears with no problems and the motor is strong. I would trust this car for 100,000 miles of driving.
*The car has newer hub caps with one spare, and a tool for removing them without breakage. The wheels each have a lock with a key provided, and the car also comes with a free club and key provided.
*The front corner and headlight assemblies were replaced with aftermarket, which look pretty good.
*Brakes, rotors, and exhaust have no issues to worry about for a long while, and I believe as soon as this car has the aforementioned electrical issue repaired, it will be an easy inspection for anyone anywhere. The oil change is recent, and the car has some gas in it, about half I think, so the auction winner can drive off if they choose.
*The AC works good, I know that's important over the summer months, so no worries there. The heat works great as well.
Now for the negative issues with the car:
*the car could use paint on the hood, bumper, and some other places. In my opinion, you don't need to paint the whole car for it to look great again. The front bumper has a crack, the front and rear bumper are scuffed, and the rear door has a dent and scratch. There a plenty of other blemishes and dings on the car.
I thank you for taking any interest in my auction, it's always appreciated. I've tried to be as open and honest as I can about the description of this car. I would say the interior is fairly decent, with no headliner sagging. I did not smoke in the car, but the previous owner did. There are two burn holes on the dash, and a couple small ones on the door panel. The car does not smell and is pretty clean. I've had it about two years now. I originally purchased this car as a backup to have in case my Subaru failed me. I drove it for about a year with my Subaru out of service, and then parked it right back in my garage when I had the Subaru fixed. I always planned on having it as a ready to go well kept back up car, which is why all the major work has been done on it.
I reiterate, the sale of this car will be via cash only. If you feel the need, you can text any questions you have to4436941738,My name is Lester.
A very common sensible question is, "Is this car leaking any oil or transmission fluid?" To answer in short, no, but as with any 18 year old vehicle with over 100,000 miles, it's not perfectly dry like a 5 year old engine with only 50,000 miles. I drive my cars between 3,000 and 3,500 miles between oil changes. This car has no fast drips, nor does it leave any kind of noticeable fluid puddles of any kind on the ground where I park it. The valve cover gaskets "sweat" a little oil, as they almost all do on cars with over 100k miles. Valve cover gaskets on this car are nothing I'd be in a rush to get replaced any time soon, but if you really wanted to be perfect it's not that hard of a job if your inclined. I never had to add oil or any other fluids between oil changes either. New valve cover gasket included with purchase.
When the timing belt was done the cam seal was replaced with a new one for good measure, although there was nothing wrong with the old one upon inspection. It is also good to know, the front differential fluid was drained about half way and then refilled to check the condition, which was good. The front differential fluid will be good for a very long while, and so will the transmission fluid, which is healthy and red after a couple of drain and fills within the last year or so. Hope this helps.
