1998 Toyota RAV4 Description

This 1998 Toyota RAV4 AWD is a 1-owner Southern California car with only 105,062 miles. It runs great and it's ready to be driven anywhere.

This is probably one of the nicest first-generation RAVs you will ever find. It has had only one adult female owner, and has been driven gently and pampered from the day it left the showroom. It has a clean title, the registration is paid through October 2017, and it just passed smog.

The car has always been meticulously maintained and serviced by a Toyota dealer. It comes with a stack of service records dating all the way back to its first oil change. The timing belt and water pump were replaced on schedule.

This RAV is mechanically perfect, with smooth acceleration, shifting and braking. It's powered by a 2.0 liter DOHC 16V 4-cylinder engine with an automatic transmission.

It is equipped with ice-cold air conditioning, cruise control, CD/cassette stereo, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, tilt wheel, and privacy glass. It also has a roof rack, stainless steel compression posts under the doors, a heavy-duty Toyota roof rack, and all-weather floor and trunk mats (not shown in the photos).

The tires are good, with at least 50% tread remaining. Everything works as it should, with only one minor exception: the remote control for the factory alarm system was lost. Also, it's missing the side reflector lens on the side of the rear bumper.

The interior is very clean, with near-perfect upholstery and no stains or odors.

The body is very good overall, with the usual parking lot dings. There is a small dent at the right rear. The only noticeable damage is on the left side of the tailgate, which occurred when the car was backed into a post, but the tailgate still works fine. Beyond that, the car has never been in an accident.

The paint is all original and still has a nice shine for the most part, but there are some small areas where oxidation and pitting are visible. The oxidation on the roof is more noticeable, as shown in the photos. The rest of the body and the underside are rust-free.
