1991 Toyota Tercel Description
value $1325. You can either finish rebuilding or strip for parts. But car has to be bought as "WHOLE" not separating parts. Had this baby 15 of its 25 yrs. If buying to rebuild tags expired in April--Buyer pays all transfers and tags. You can't buy a used car anywhere with this many new parts.. I have put a lot of money- work- time and parts into this baby. Serious inquires ONLY. This is all the work that has been done so far and parts that are new.

new brakes were put on driverside but my frd never came back to finish installing other sides (I don't do brakes) new drums didn't come with hub seals so the other ones need to carefully be tapped from the old ones Unless you continue using the old and save the new. Old ones are still fine I just wanted to complete my car with new. On The Engine Block I had some trouble with the oil pressure switch, it broke off. The shop had to redo the hole by making it for a oil gauge switch so you will have to run a gauge inside the car . Bumper to Bumper on Bishop did the work. Big John is the machinist.

Does need minor body work, passenger side has rust below back door plus dents on both doors, clear coat has been coming off for years--the car is 25 years old this yr. Seats are great except for driver seat--few years back a mechanic had a screw driver in his pocket and it tore my seat and he wouldn't pay to have it fixed so there are seat covers for the front. Tires are in great condition full size spare in trunk . Could use new motor mounts.

By now you are probably asking why am I selling it after doing all this work and ordering all these parts. I don't have the finances to have someone do the work. My best frd got a job driving Semi's (my 1st helper) & my sister (2nd Helper) blew my old motor & then skipped town to NY. By the time I broke the motor down for rebuilding I was on my own with no helpers.

Forgot to add ALL the extra parts I have: USED but in great working order.

A/C Unit (does need hoses for unit in car)--....Distributor Cap...Oil Pan and Screen....Valve Cover... Camshaft...Alternator (needs testing)...Kept old pistons was told they were still usable....Oil Pump...Rear Main Oil Seal...Crankshaft...Driveplate & rearend plate...ECU Unit (didn't need but price was a steal on Ebay)...Turn Signal Switch (didn't replace yet use to not having highbeams and didn't want to fight with pulling steering off to replace) Intake Manifold..Water Pump also there is over about $400 worth of fuses and relays. These '91 Tercels are far and in between at the junkyards so anytime I came across one I STRIPPED that baby of parts. Interior is perfect except driver seat as I mentioned above. Dash is faded under the cover I have (normal with sun exposure but NOT cracked or chipped) Vehicle was cleaned on a weekly basis. I would take my seats out when I vacuumed and when the car got washed so did the inside and the motor. This truly is an amazing car but sometimes in life you just have to sacrifice the things you love esp. when your always on your own and at the bottom of your frd & families list.
