1991 Toyota Supra Turbo White Package Description
First off this is a no reserve auction, I have no idea what it is worth since it is so unique nothing out there for sale in the entire country to compare it to.
I am liquidating my car collection, things change in life and the first thing to go is all of your toys. See my other auction if you are into Landcruisers for the offroad crowd. Got myself a new vehicle so I wouldn't have to work on stuff anymore. This car spent its entire life in one city in the south, was sold new at a small Toyota dealer fully loaded with all the options and the "white package". Car stayed in the same city and only changed hands once, basically a one owner car though technically two. In 2002 they stopped driving it, no idea why, just parked it in their back yard and threw a tarp over it. The car sat there for 15 years, the miles are very legit. Unfortunately several tarps later the front half of the car didn't get covered very well. The late owner had a beautiful house and wonderful life from what I saw, took great care of everything he had but didn't put this thing in the garage for some reason, really great people to meet. Their son in law decided to sell it after the owner passed away so I had to have it, I was planning on totally tearing it apart and doing a full resto as it has the straightest chassis with the cleanest undercarriage I've ever seen on a non-showroom MK3 supra. But in the process of deciding to sell it I skipped that and got it running so you can see the mechanical quality of the car, it has 1x tire that wont hold air probably because they are 15 year old Kuhmo Ecsta Supra tires (yes the model says Supra on the tire). So the car will need to be towed, no way these can be driven on. See below for more details. Engine is good, trans good, chassis good, brakes work, clear title, zero wrecks, zero dents, zero rust, etc...... This is a very rare car these days, 2nd to last year of production and has the white package with red leather, turbo & automatic trans.
Exterior: Minus the paint it is damn near perfect. Just look at the front bumper, none of the grille bars are cracked, the factory front lip is still all there and in good shape. Nothing is missing, this is a factory white package car. Problem is it sat outside forever, the front half getting it worse than the back. Back still has clear coat front not so much. Hood has a bunch of rock chips probably from a lawn mower I put some sealant on them to stop any surface rust. The black trim has peeled a little, but other than that zero damage. No evidence I can see of any wrecks or body work, not a single dent on the whole car from what I could see. Put a paint job on this thing and you are done. Period. Interior: Again, it is all there, all original, even the floor mats. It has the center console flip down cup holders, it has the factory targa wrench tool with the plugs for the holes, instructions, owners manual, hell it still has the factory sticker on the drivers door panel that tells you how to take care of a turbo car you american idiots hah. Everything works except the headlight switch, highbeam function works headlights go up and down fine, power antenna goes up and down fine (which is a mind blower) all the gauges work, radio works, HVAC works, seats work, mirrors work, door locks work, hatch struts work. Worst part is the dash, it is cracked worse than any other dash ive ever seen from sitting outside for so long, and the leather is tight for sure. But it is clean and all original, amazingly lucky starting point for an enthusiast. I've never actually seen red leather before, they were all cloth the red ones I've seen before.
Mechanical: This is the real gem, an all original never been touched 90k mile 7M-GTE that fired right up after sitting for 15 years (the 91/92 engines were built to better specs)! Put some sea foam in the tank, ran some sea foam through the intake manifold, changed the oil, replaced the spark plugs with proper iridiums, flushed the coolant, replaced the fuel pump through the trunk (much easier for future access), replaced one of the drive belts, and that is pretty much all it needed. Pulled the EFI fuse, cranked the engine over to build oil pressure with about a cap full of oil dropped in each cylinder. It fired right up, a little smoke initially from the sea foam obviously but other than that a perfect running supra. As it sits now it fires right up first bump of the key, no smoke, no knocking, no over heating, no leaks somehow, blows my mind. I threw a spare tire on it and took it down the street, power steering pump makes a little noise and the valves could use an adjustment to be perfect but it runs fantastic. Ton of power, auto trans smooth as butter, brakes work, steering works, suspension works fine, what do you expect it is a Toyota made during their golden age. I would replace the brake pads they have a ton of pad but are just wasted from sitting for so long. Honestly I would give the entire car a good look over before you try driving it on the street, after all it DID sit for 15 years, would be stupid to think you can just throw it on the street but it honestly doesn't look like it needs much of anything at all at this stage. No exhaust leaks, no vacuum leaks, no oil leaks somehow, no coolant leaks, no boost leaks.
That is basically it, I think I covered most everything, if you have any questions feel free to ask. This is a no reserve auction!
