1998 Toyota Avalon XLS Only 144K Original Miles 3.0L V6 Loaded, Leather Interior

1998 Toyota Avalon XLS Sedan 4-Door Description

I have a nice 1998 Toyota Avalon XLS sedan up for sale. This is Toyota's loaded, full sized luxury model, complete with leather interior, heated seats, power windows, door locks and cruise control. The color is Dark Green Pearl Metallic. Everything works. It seats up to 5 people comfortably and rides smoothly. It's a good safe vehicle for a family or a new driver. It has dual front and side curtain air bags. It comes with the 3.0 liter v6 engine and an automatic transmission with overdrive. The motor has plenty of power and gets great gas mileage. The Air Conditioning works perfect and is ice cold. The heater and blow both works great as well. Premium Toyota sound system with CD and cassette. I believe it's the 9 speaker system. The tires are in excellent condition. They were purchased new, less than a year ago. We also had a new exhaust system professionally installed within the last year as well. I know that the car has remote keyless entry. We just don't have a fob for it.

As with any Toyota, it's been a really great reliable car for our family. We bought it used from a friend with about 50K miles 6 or so years ago and it's been my wife's daily driver ever since. It's been lightly driven, mostly between home and work and only has 144,000 original miles. Anyone that knows the Toyota Avalon, knows that this engine can run 300K miles plus when taken care of. This car has plenty of power and shows no sign of slowing down. There are no check engine lights or mechanical issues from what I can tell. It just passed inspection without any problem. The only reason we are selling it is because we just purchased a 2007 Avalon. We are actually sad to see the car go because our kids grew up in it. But it will be a good reliable car for the next owner.

I'd say that the body is in very good shape for its age. But it's not perfect. There aren't any rust holes or anything like that. There is a couple small rust spots along the edge of the passenger side rear wheel well. See picture. It also has some small blemishes where the clear coat has peeled. And small pin dents and scuffs from regular wear and age. Overall it's in pretty good shape and she shines up nicely after a trip to the car wash. The finish around the grip portion of the steering wheel has some chips where the outer surface has peeled off. We have a steering wheel cover over it that matches the interior. So, you don't notice it. The driver's side outside door handle has a small piece missing from the frame. It doesn't affect the function or anything.

I will also be including the Haynes manual as well as the original Toyota manual.
