You've got to see this truck....
In May of 2001, I bought her new, and have dozens of oil change records; changed every 3500-4500 miles. Parting with her only due to buying a 2017Tacoma, which you cansee in ad.
In 2011, she had a frame-off reconstruction after Toyota called me for an inspection. It must have been some sort of issue in manufacturingwhich causedmany to severely rust prematurely (lack of appropriate treatment?)
Just bought the capless than 6 months ago due to starting a new smallbusiness/hobby.I had no idea I'd be leaving my full-time job in Jersey City in Julyor I wouldn't have gotten it; forI justboughta newtruck last month.(Trust me, no one wants to drive a new truck to Jersey City daily!) It is a $1,500+ ARE cap I got for just over $1,000. I have receipt on ad.
I have a spare tire on the same type of rim that is on the truck. It is not mounted underneath due to a recall on the cable mount, which I have yet to address. this can be done at Toyota at no cost, if you wish, or you can use the mount there. When I received the recall, I took it off. It works, it justlooks rusted.
If I had to say some bad things about this truck, it does not do heavy snow well.I don't believe any2 wheel drive small pickup does.Itcould usea rear step bumper due to my poor judgment in backing up (see photo.) Also, if you're looking to fly on the entrance ramp to the freeway, this is not the engine to do so with. A 2.4 is not a powerhouse, but great on gas! I get between20 and 26, depending on the type of drive.
I was going to wash the engine, but thought a dirty engine would show it is dry, no leaks.
Truck is in Edison, NJ, and you can contact me via ebay to make arrangements for a test drive, if you'd like.
