This Land Cruiser FJ40 was purchased in Denver, Colorado through Denver Motorsports and the frame and body were completely sandblasted, painted, and rebuilt. The body is in immaculate condition and looks amazing. I purchased the vehicle in 2011 and the owner specified that they had over $30k into the rebuild, and the vehicle is modified and has the running gear from a 2002 Chevy S-10 Xtreme with a 4 Speed automatic transmission GM 4L60. The vehicle has a 6" spring over axle lift with 36" super swamper tires, front buckets seats and many other features.
In 2012 I spent $23k having the vehicle rebuilt to better handle road conditions and finish the project outstanding items that were not completed by theseller due to lack of funds. The transfer case had to be removed, rebuilt, and re-installed to allow for better positioning of the drive-shaft of the vehicle. The power steering and parking brake system have been removed and rebuilt, the front large disc brakes have been removed and pads replaced, and rear-brakes bled and pads replaced. The steering column has beenpulled and rebuiltto install a full and consistent Chevy wiring harness, and all lights, signal lights, brake lights and wiring are new. The automatic transmission has been pulled apart and re-installed with a proper computer system for shifting electronically at the specified rpm's. Vehicle came with a Mallory performance fuel system ~$2k and hasa new pump, hoses, and drained the tank, fuel system is like new.Recently installed a wiper assembly from Spector Off-road and horn to comply with safety regulations required for licensing of the vehicle.Recently pulled out the existing roll-bar and replaced with a full-cab roll-bar from a 75 FJ40, and installed half doors from Spector Off-road. This is just a quick summary of some of themore major modifications andI have all receiptsfor the work performed. The vehicle drives down the highway at 70 MPH with little to no pull an sounds great with the dual performance exhaust. The vehicle now has 1800 miles on the rebuild and 730 miles since all of the modification work performed in 2012. We recently sold our summer home and more importantly garage space at the lake and this vehicle will have to go to avoid having to find storage.
It is currently registered in Canada, and was previously licensed in Colorado and Washington. I have owned several FJ40's and this one will not disappoint, it is a very desirable color with an absolutely beautiful paint job, and is turn-key ready to drive.
