1977 Toyota Land Cruiser Description

For sale is my 1977 FJ40. I bought it in 2008 in Camp Verde, Arizona and drove it back to Virginia Beach. Ithad a frame-off restoration completedby FantomWorks, and has NO CANCER. This is one of the cleanest 40's you will everfind, unless you drop$150k on an Icon.Any bad metal (Cancer) was cut out, new metal welded in and ground flat. The body on her is as good as new! She is normally stored inside my garage. I bought it to use it, not to have it collect dust in my garage. She is VERY dependable - I would not hesitate to drive her round-trip from Virginia Beach toanywhere! All of the "heavy lifting" has been done for you to have a kick-ass FJ-40! Why buy a 40 that you have to work on all the time, when you can have one that is ready to roll, and can go anywhere you want it to!
I have about $4k of extra parts to go with it, too, including Jump Seats (which have been blasted down to bare metal and repainted, too.)
What has been doneso far, and what comes with it:
  • SBC 350 installed (still has original 4-speed transmission, with Advanced Adapters connecting engine and tranny - 5.7L out of 1976 Corvette with mild tune, runs fine on Regular gasoline!)
  • AGRPower Steeringwith Rock Ram(Rock Ram currently not installed, but is included)
  • 28 Gallon Saddle Tank (same one as listed on Man-a-fre)
  • 22 Gallon Aux tank in the rear (With these two tanks, you have 50 gallons onboard, and the ability to drive 700+ miles without filling up! I could easily drive from VA Beach to other side of Tennessee without filling up, or slowing down.)
  • 2 Jump Seats in perfect condition, with new covers, the original seat foam, and seat belts
  • Fiber Glass top has been truck-linered inside and out (and, most importantly, is WHITE like it's supposed to be)
  • 4" lift with 35x12.50xR15 Fun Country II's with full-size spare
  • Man-a-fre Swing out bumper ($1400 worth of bumper, minus shipping, if you were to buy it from Man-a-fre)
  • Brand new Bestop seats w/sliders
  • Billet Aluminum Hood hinges with gasketsfrom JT Outfitters
  • Extended Fender Flares from Man-a-fre (4" longer than stock and 1" wider, these are not installed but are included)
  • MetalTech Family Roll cage with frame tie-ins (installed and painted to match the body - Also costs more than $1500 new!)
  • White Knuckle Black Powder Coated Sliders (installed)
  • Hi-jack
  • Warn Locking Hubs (The 4-wheel drive works flawlessly!)

Stuff that is not installed but will come with the sale:

  • Toughie Console with Alpine CD Player and Sirius Satellite Radio Receiver (needs to be re-installed, but all will be provided. Also need a new 4 or 5-channel amp. Speakers are installed. You will need a five channel amp, if you want to install any type of subwoofer.)
  • Original 2F engine (needrebuilt)

So, it is time to make the grown-up decision and part with my toy. I want to sell it, but by no means do I NEED to sell it - wife and I have decided to have another kid. It has been well taken care of, and I have title in hand fora fast, easysale!

I know I said I wouldn'tre-list it, butthis is your last chance toowna FJ40in perfect condition without paying a small mint... This is your last opportunity to own such a fine vehicle, don't let it get away.
