1967 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Description

I have spent all summer hunting VW's in Texas and here is the best one! I am selling a 1967 Volkswagen Westfalia!! It is a project vehicle and does not currently run and drive, but is very complete and original. This is without a question the coolest Bus I have found in the last 15 years. Originally imported to Houston, sold by Continental in Littleton Colorado, and then resold by Boulder Valley (Boulder Valley would buy in bulk from Continental). Last registered 1984 in Oklahoma.
This Bus is 90% original, with the exception of the nose. The nose has been replaced sometime in the past, probably 1970s dealership work. The replacement is pretty clean, and unless you are a VW nut, you might not even be able to tell. The nose clip obviously came off a Deluxe which includes the front bumper and the Deluxe clock. The rest of the Bus is original paint Pearl White L87. All doors open and close perfectly. I just put brand new 195/75/14 tires on it for a classic look.
I have spent over 70 hours cleaning this Bus up from when I got it. It still could use some more cleaning, but I got it to a point where I feel comfortable selling it. I do suspect a packrat was living in it a long time ago, but I have cleaned out most of the Jesus pamphlets, dildos, and packrat bedding that was in it. There is definitely still a slight "barn yard" odor, but that's what happens with these old Buses when they are left outside for 30 years. Interior is mostly there, missing icebox and has the wrong jumpseat in it. Rear corner cabinet, Z-Bed, headbanger, and closet are all present. Missing front headliner cards (grey tarboard). A lot of the hard to find Westfalia stuff is there. No tent or childs cot, those went MIA before I got it.
This Bus was covered with moss and the moss left some cool markings on the paint, it looks like the moss is still there, but I definitely washed it all off. This Bus has one of the best patina paint jobs I've ever seen. A few dings on the roof from hail (it was outside for 30+ years). Pop-top fiberglass is in very good condition after I scrubbed all the moss off it, no cracking at all. Unfortunately, the springs are broken that lift the top, so it will need some TLC and a new canvas and seal to be fully functional again. Looks like the motor is a replacement unit (universal case, no serial number) and the transmission is in unknown condition, but it does roll. Engine turns over by hand and has good compression. Original vent wing latches that work flawlessly and are not broken, Amazing!
Needs typical rust repair to include but not limited to: windshield sills, cargo rocker, bottoms of cargo doors, bottoms of front cab doors, front floor, and very front part of the doglegs. Overall, still a very solid original example.
I have a Vermont registration slip and license plates for it, ready to transfer into your name.
Looking for a quick, seamless, and professional sale. I have tried to present this vehicle in a condition where I feel comfortable selling it, instead of with all the junk in it like I got it. I love this Bus and I hope you do too, I'm really not sure how many like this are left out there.
