1964 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Description

1964 Custom Karmann Ghia convertible. This car was restored to show condition over 25 years ago and has been sitting for the past 5 until now. It has a 1776 ci engine, universal case, 69 mm Gene Berg crank, Rods are balanced and shotpeen, 88mm Cima pistons and cylinders, Engle 120 cam, heads are ported and polished, Manley valves, heavy duty rockers dual Solex 40mm carbs, dual fortuned exhaust, 200mm 12 lb flywheel, Factory style tach. The rear wheels were 15 inch cut down to 14 and widened to 6 inches. The front wheels were 14 inch cut down to 13 and widened to 6 inches, 205/60 R 13 and 205/60 R 14 tires.The car runs and drives great, with a new clutch, new brakes including new drums. The engine is strong, but one or two of the rod tubes leaks oil. The car's paint is good, but showing wear around the rocker panels and there is a dent in the front left fender. The car needs some work: needs new door latch on the drivers side, engine compartment latch, horn doesn't work, needs carpet kit, seats need cleaning as well as the door panels, the rag top is shot and some of the hardware is bad, missing some trim piece's on top of the doors, 1 hubcap clip is missing, no wipers and washer doesn't work.Included is a bunch of parts (see pictures).Custom items include: badge taken off front, lighted license plate frame, stick shift has been moved back 3 inches, roll bar, dash rebuild, factory style tach, but doesn't work.This car can be driven daily and is a blast to drive and gets looks where ever you go, but it needs some TLC.
