1977 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Description

I took this bug in trade for a custom electric guitar that I built tor the owner (that's what I do for a living), intending to use the entire top as a replacement for my wife's convertible top, but ended up restoring her top without using anything off this car. It was too nice a car to part out like that.
This car is a PROJECT car. Except for some short test drives it hasn't been driven since it lived in Florida (I had a mechanic work on the motor and brakes so it could be driven). It needs someone to give it some TLC. The motor runs well, but seems a little tired. Shifts great. The body looks great from a distance, but close up you can see there is rust around the windshield, rear deck and on the cowl panels in front of the doors. The interior is rough, but the seats are in good condition. The right side view mirror is gone.
The car came from Florida as a carburated motor, which is OK in other states, but would to need be fuel injected again to register it here.
