I purchased the car from a salvage yard last August for my son. The car was driven through a fresh water puddle and stalled. For reasons not known to the salvage yard nor myself the car was totaled.
The water from the puddle never reached the inside of the car and only 1/3 of the way in the engine compartment. When we had the enhanced inspection done by a certified garage to get a new title issue all the car needed was a battery and we changed all the fluids as a precaution only none of fluids showed signs of water. What that being said I have driven the car for over 1 year and put 12K miles on the car with no issues. I just had the car recently inspected and serviced the car is ready to go.
