Very Clean 1974 Tin Top Westy. This bus is in great shape. It is very clean inside and out with very little rust seen any where. It has been stored inside for most of its life which is obvious when you see it. It is originally a California bus with the outside medallion intact (see photos) Up until two weeks ago I would have said a perfect body, but since a Kansas storm blew my buddies parked motorcycle into it I have to say it has a scar (also pictured). Other than that this is as straight a bus as you will find. A couple of rare features, almost perfect front and back chrome bumpers, awesome looking for sure. And the interior is very unusual.
The bus is carpeted throughout and has a very custom interior. The dash is beautifully done in blue, black and white. The seats are also custom and upholstered beautifully. The door panels are incredible as well as the Z bed which is the full Z-Bed. The Westfalia bed, and the cabinet in the back are original to the bus but there is no sink or stove. The bus is very open without those units as you can see. I hope you can appreciate the interior the pictures are good but don't do it justice.
The paint job is a brilliant blue with custom metal flakes that make this bus truly unique.
The engine runs and starts great. The dual carbs, original to this bus, have just been rebuilt and tuned as well as all new fuel lines, and new mechanical fuel pump and filter.
The brakes work but are a bit squishy and will probably need some work but the bus does stop as you pump them a little.
I was hoping to keep this bus but the barn is full and I have no more room. It will be hard to find a bus as nice as this.
I have several buses three are westy's and this is by far the best of them but I need the pop top for my family. So big blue has to go.
