Description: BODY CHASSIS MOTOR MATCHING 1970 Vert.

OK! Lets get BuGGin shall we?? Up for sale is a 1970 VW Beetle Convertible in the classic two year only Clementine Orange. Correct period look accented with the black top and interior. Car was restored in the mid 90s, but looks stellar! Paint still looks so fresh, along with the top and interior.

The paint job on this convertible is a high end show/driver quality, very tough to spot any imperfections. The current owner takes this beetle to shows on the weekends, you will have no issue showing off this bug, she looks awesome.

PLEASE look at all the pics in this auction. We bought this bug out of Ridgefield NJ.

Everything is here for you, many many pics are in a Full Photo Album HERE.
Convertible Beetles are some of the most sought after bugs on the market, especially the verts.

The Beetle sports the 12v system and starts with the flick of the key. Doors open and close effortlessly on this vert, this is one area where convertibles can suffer over time, and the lines are perfect on this one.
The bug has a solid underbelly, with solid heater channels and support rails.

ENGINE:
- The rebuilt original 1600cc Single Port 60hp engine purrs with that magical German Tweety sound in all its glory. She runs perfect down the road with no shimmies, shakes or Hiccups.

The engine was completely rebuilt from ground up: (previous owner) when the bug was restored. An older fella had this bug prior to us, he told us a couple thousand miles were put on the bug since resto. By looking at the quality of the paint job, it really looks like the car was never driven much.

Our shop dropped the motor and did a complete engine detail and top end resealing and inspection. Case was painted, tins powder coated, manifold and muffler painted, new hardware etc.

Over 125PSI compression in each cylinder, end play came in at .005" That's perfect!

We installed new engine seals in the engine bay, tightened up wires, and installed our signature tar board fire wall insulation kit.

EXTERIOR:
This classic is in a high end show/driver condition with a paint job back in the 90s, but you would not know it. A show bug that will draw attention everywhere you go, but also capable of being driven and not so afraid to take it places. Tootle around town or show her at a cruise night, this car will only appreciate in value!

This car has been driven to and from car shows two to three hours at a time, I would not hesitate to drive her to Cali from NY.

After every drive she is stored in a climate controlled environment.

The original body and chassis are incredibly dry, all panels, floors, fenders, hood, decklid, rockers, and doors are rot free.

Here is just a small list below of what we did to the car after we purchased it:
