2004 VW R32 with body restoration

2004 Volkswagen R32 Description

Beautiful metallic electric blueVW R32, with"4 Motion" AWD,six speed manual transmission, PW, PL, Cruise, A/C, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, rear defogger, leather Recaro sportbucket seats, sunroof, CD and cassette stereo, remote locking with alarm, Traction Control and ABS brakes.

I bought this rare"R32" (Racing, 3.2 Litre V6, only 5K imported to the USA) back in April. After one test drive, I was in love with this car--I've never had a car that gave me such an ear-to-ear grin while driving it.When I bought the car this past Spring, many of the body panels had rust perforation, however, the VW dealer has done a near complete body restoration on the car: the front fenders, the rear quarter panels and hatch are all new. The car has been restored to VW factory specs, which took over two months to complete and cost VW over $11K. (The doors and hood did not have any surface rust nor rust perforation).

There are two light scratches in the clear coat paint, one door ding on the passenger door, several light scratches in the front bumpe, and a slight crack in one of the grille bars (see pics).

Please note that if you live in our Northern climate and plan on driving this car in the snow, you will need a set of winter tires.The car currently has summer-only performance tires that will do nothing but spin in the snow.

The Kelly Blue Book for private sale is $13,930 in excellent condition, however I have spent $4K on a complete exhaust system, another $2K on the passenger door latch, rear struts and links, front strut mounts and bearings, 4 wheel alignment and inspection, plus the $11K VW spent on the restoration, so I feel the car is worth more than the book value, but offers will be considered.I am selling the car because I want to put a down payment on a house. I have the paperwork to show all the work that was done by Suburban Imports of Farmington Hills.
