VW Eurovan *Weekender*
2002 Volkswagen EuroVan Weekender Description
Well loved and travelled VW Eurovan Weekend that has seen, and camped in most of the National Parks. Second owner from new for the last 11 years, and about 100,000 miles. All service records from new. Over $4,000 spent in maintenence items just since 2015, including new, correct load-rated tires, brake pads and rotors, water pump, pollen filters, etc. Maintained by a German engineer (My father), and owned by my VW (and outdoor) loving sister. My family has owned 4 Eurovans over the years, and kept this one the longest. Truly unique vehicle that can be driven daily, or across the country as it own home away from home. This is one of the later 2002 models with the 24 valve VR6 for better performance, and 20MPG on the road. The legendary VR6 motor is smooth and quiet, and the transmission shifts smoothly, and without hesitation. No dash lights or faults other than the left turn signal needs to be held down to stay blinking. Easily fixed, but not a major issue, either. There is one body body crease pictured, and a few chips and tiny dingscommensuratewith it's age. The van looks and shows very well.No wrecks, and alloriginalbody save the grill (a pickup truck backed into it in the driveway, requiring a new grill, and radiator a few years ago). Windshield has been replaced. No play in steering, or any signs of mechanical wear in the driveline and suspension. These are really robust vehicles, especially when well maintained.Good Weekenders are getting really rare, especially with full maintenance records. It *really* pains my sister to get rid of it, with so many goodmemoriesover the years, but the kids are grown, and other priorities beckon.
