1968 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Karmann Description

I am selling this 1968 Volkswagen Convertible for my 83 year old father. This has been his little garage project for the 12 years. Something fun to tinker on and take grand kids for ice cream. He has invested over $8000 to get
this care where it is today. Here are some the new features:
June 2006 - a New 1600 cc motor was added (not a rebuild)
" a New 3 speed transmission was added (not a rebuild)
" new clutch and new brakes all around
New speedomotor / cable
February 2005 - New white top
New white matching seats and door panels
New tan carpet kit.
New paint / rubber seals around the body
Since the installation of the motor, transmission etc, the care has only been driven 2300 miles. The new 1600cc motor is hardly broken in. We just had the car fully serviced November 2016.
The care runs amazing. I would not hesitate to drive this care to California this weekend and enjoy the sun and surf. With very little work and expense, this car could easily be a winning
car at any VW car show.
