Front bumper got a little damaged from tow truck

Bought this at a local auction - to be surprised that the transmission does not work right - it shifts funn, slips and leaks from the under the transmission. ( will drive up on trailer but do NOT DRIVE IT AWAY )

I am not sure why it has a previous salvage title.
Body is in decent condition - some clear coat / peeling on the roof and rear quarter panel.

Starts and runs good ( idle ) it will engage gears and move - but when trying to accelerate it will slip in and out of gear.

Seat, interior is in great used condition for a 11 year old VW
Has all the factory GLI aluminum tri, black headliner and dead pedal. Factory Radio. 1 key

Missing 2 center caps. tires look OK.

Rear bumper chrome trim is broken on passenger rear. Front lower lip spoiler is cracked on lower passenger side from tow truck, front bumper fell off - it has light damage but probably repairable.

I am still awaiting the title from the auction - should have it by the time auction ends.

SOLD AS IS WHERE IS - needs towed !!

I can not determine if this car is worth in PARTS or fix transmission or possibly even 6 speed swap it ? Going to see " What it worth " on ebay.
