Was still able togenerate 272 HP to the wheels and 322 torque with the defective pipe.Note: Have never 'tracked' the car but I would believe a current dyno wouldshow hp to the wheels in excess of 300.Custom Borla Exhaust (First one made by company for the 2012 Turbo Beetle.UIpgraded Bilstein Shocks (Front) and KYB (Rear) replaced weaker OEM's.Upgraded White Line Stabilizing Suspension Components (Front & Rear)Upgraded Front Brakes To V-Maxx 4 Pot with Ceramic Pads for less dustUpgraded Rear Brake Pads To Raybestos CeramicCustom Steel Brake Lines installed for all four wheelsBlackforest 'Custom' Catch-Can with built-in dipstick to allow easychecking of fluid build-up without dismantling the catch-can. Note: Had a secondary Custom Oil Cooler installed, since Turbo's are notedfor high heat being produced. The unit consisted of a custom machined'sandwich like' adapter plate that would screw on under the oil filter. Twocustom relay lines were then situated to reach the cooler mounted in frontof the radiator. I then noticed oil flow was being slightly restricted and laterfound out that the cooler should have been mounted vertically and nothorizontally. Not knowing this information at the time of the restricted oilflow I removed the sandwich plate and disconnected the 2 hoses, tucking themin the right corner, near the passenger side headlight. Did not remove thecooler due to the fact that I would have had to remove the front bumper to gain access to it. It can now either be re-connected, using the sandwich plateand reconnecting the two hoses to the 'plate', using the OEM filter with theonly change to the filter being you would have to 'twist off' the large metalscrew that comes with the OEM filter. The sandwich plate can't accomodatethe screw. If not interested in adding this extra-cooling of the oil, you caneither leave it 'as is' or remove the bumper and unscrew the cooler, at whichtime you can also remove the two 'tucked away' hoses. The unit is an expensive, custom designed set-up that cost over $500 for the unit and $500labor to set up the custom installation. For the record, I have neverexperienced the car running too hot, even on hot summer days, so it is mybelief that the large APR Intercooler, coordinating with the OEM oil cooleris sufficient. Someone who drives the car 'hard' may want to considerreconnecting the custom secondary oil cooler. I don't drive the car especially hard, nor have I ever 'tracked the car'.All maintenace and 'work' concerning upgrades have only been done byprofessional facilities that include:Linden VW Motor Sport Division located at VW Service in Linden, N.J..TyrolSport located in Queens, N.Y.Intermecanica located in Mamaroneck, N.Y.
