1963 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Description

Up for sale is my fully restored, highly modified, 100% street legal and insured, 1963 Baja Beetle ragtop. I purchased the car in April of 2013 in Alabama. It had already been converted to a Baja and was to far gone to turn back. The car was restored by myself (helicopter mechanic) and my uncle a master fabricator, mechanic and air-cooled specialist. We immediately removed the body and put itonthe rotisserie. The pans were shotand replaced with new ones. The original King pin front end was torn down and completely rebuilt. The front end tubes and trailing arms were gusseted for off road use. Thousands of hours went into removingevery nut bolt or component. Allwere removed cleaned, replaced, upgraded or reinforced for off road abuse. This included front and rear bumpers and skid plates, whichare removed withquick release pinsfor fast access to the engine.Enclosed are a couple pictures of the restoration. I have many more or I can take specific pics by request. I also have video of the car running. The car runs awesome and has tons of power for off road use or street. I love this car and its spent many weekends roaming trails and making beach runs with my young children smiling ear to ear.It also gets tons of attention. Guaranteed not to see another one like it on the road.Unfortunately,I am moving soon and have no time to enjoy it. I am willing to meet for serious bidders to show the car and take potential buyers on test drives. Included with the car will be the build sheets, receipts and picture library of the build. The car also comes with a tow bar and lotsofextra parts.Contact me anytime via eBay with questions. Take care and good luck!

Please take a minutes to watchthe Baja in action!

The not so great: The car is not perfect. The body has some minor scratches on the fenders from going off road. The speedometer (original) stopped working last month. Its a bitinaccurate with the big tires but, I would still like to get it working. No heat or AC
