2005 Volkswagen Beetle-New Description

Up for grabs in this auction is a 2005 VW Convertible Beetle. The drivetrain is a 2.0 4 Cyl Engine with an Automatic 6 Speed Tiptronic Transmission. The Beetle is Silver with a Black Top and Gray Interior and has 70612 Miles on it.

The Transmission is jerking harshly when shifting up or down when hot. It has been diagnosed as an internal Transmission problem and will need to be rebuilt or a used Transmission installed.

I’m listing this for a friend. The prominent known history:

In early 2010 with approx. 32000 miles the current owner’s sister purchased it used from a Body Shop that fixed it from a wreck. It came with an Illinois rebuilt title.

Along with regular services some repairs to the Beetle have been:

Around 2012 a New Top was installed because the rear window came unglued.

It has also had both rear window regulators changed a common convertible problem (Oct 2013).

The left door latch assemble was replaced because the micro switch failed leaving the dome light on (Oct 2013).

An Interstate Battery was installed (May 2014).

The AC compressor and dryer were replaced (July 2014).

Both radiator coolant fans have been replaced (Aug 2015).

The current owner has purchased a newer car and is selling this one as a DIY fixer upper or for parts. She hates to see it used for parts but does not want to spend the money for the transmission repair so it goes to the high bidder for whatever use they have for it.
