1977 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Description

Beautifully restored 1977 Westfalia. Absolute show-stopper. You will not see many Westfalia's as outstanding as this one is. We started with a rust-free bus purchased in Arizona. It has been painted with original color (Marino Yellow).
Interior re-upholsteredwith original fabrics. If you want an exquisitely authentic restoration, this is it!
We'll try to list everything that has been done. The pop-top has been newly painted as well as the luggage rack with newseals. Looks Great. Has new pop-top tent with extra vents/windows. The windows were removed for painting and re-installed with new window seals. Jeoulesy (roll-out) windows have been highly polished. Driver and passenger door windows have new inside and outside scrapers, channel felts, and new wing glass seals. Newoutside chrome mirrors and front blinker lenses. Has recommended Vanco 6-ply tires and wheel wells have been undercoated. Body of bus is straight and looks excellent. Doors operate and fit perfectly. Comes with the optional spare tire mount that can be attached to the front of the bus if you choose. Mounting holes are there.
There are 600 miles on the rebuilt engine. Rebuild consists of: Re-done heads, New pistons, rings, and cylinders,Newmain bearings, New rod bearings, Re-turned camshaft, New cam bearings, Re-surfaced cam followers (lifters), New seals and gaskets. It is a carbureted engine (weber progressive) carburetor. Engine runs good and strong. Transmission is 4-speed manual, shifts nicely. Recent brake job. In addition, a tow hitch has been added.
On the inside, metal dash has been re-painted. Inside of doors have been re-painted. The entire interior has been re-done from the headliner to the floor.
Passenger swivel seat rotates 360 degrees. There is an excellent sounding Kenwood stereo with USB port and external jack.
Seats have been done impressively using original vinyl and plaid, this was quite an extra expense but we wanted to maintain the nostalgic beauty of this classic bus. It is insulated underneath the carpeting. This being a rust-free bus, no metal has been replaced or patched, including the rocker panels, floors, fenders, etc. The headliner front to back is new and the sun visors have been recovered. All of the interior lighting works properly. New foam in rear seat. New goldcurtains that correctly match the chrome yellow plaid, finish off the interior impressively. Double upper bed and lower bed work properly.
If all of that isn't enough, this bus boasts the original westfalia drive-away tent which is inremarkablecondition. When camping, this is an awesomeaddition to your camping experience with the extra space and a nice place to cook, keeping food odors and grease out of your bus. There is also an external propane tank permanently mounted under the bus, easily accessible to the tent or the interior.
Interior includes:Fresh water holding tank with 12-volt pump, 120 a/c hook-up with original cord, clothes closet with vanity mirror, linen closet, stainless steel sink with storage cabinet, ice chest, storage box, privacy curtain (this allows total privacy for all windows, including windshield), 2 tables (rear adjustable, swing table and front table), mosquito screen, child cot with mounting brackets (no poles), original Bilstein jack and roll-up tool bag, original manuals (including easy tent set-up).It's taken many weeks to restore this beauty and it is truly stunning. We've taken great care and expensein maintaining it's originality.
